Interesting that these streaks excluded 2020 due to the cancelation of the post season tournament but the season was not excluded for 30+ win seasons even though most of teams probably reached 30 in their post season.

It is more interesting because the maximum anyone has won in a season is 40 games, and that includes 6 NCAA tourney games, and typically 3+ conference tourney games. So 31 is the maximum pre-conference tourney games played and that number is more usually between 27-29 games.
With covid, shutting things down there were 4 teams that reached 30 wins - South Carolina (32), Oregon (31) Florida Gulf Coast (30), and South Dakota (30.) There were 7 additional teams that would likely have reached 30 after the first weekend.
It has been a long time since the tournament champ hasn't had 35+ wins.
