#3 Tennessee vs #2 South Carolina - 3/06/21

The #2 Seed South Carolina Gamecocks win a physical and at times emotional rematch against the #3 Seed Tennessee Lady Vols 67-52, to advance to the SEC Championship Game for the 6th time in seven seasons. The Gamecocks (21-4, 14-2) will face #4 Seed Georgia tomorrow at 2:00 PM.

The Gamecocks were led by Zia Cooke with 17 pts and 4 rebounds, by Aliyah Boston with 15 pts - including 2-2 from the 3-pt. line - 11 rebounds and 2 blocks, and by Destanni Henderson with 13 pts, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.

After the Texas A&M loss which cost So. Carolina Regular Season SEC Championship they are on a mission to win the SEC Post Season Tournament. They'll need a hot start against Tennessee and A&M to get the job done. So Carolina will beat Tennessee today.

I was kind of hoping for another shot at A&M. Maybe in the big tournament.

Georgia is playing really well. Morrison is a defensive monster and the Gamecock guards can be careless with the ball. I’ll go with SC, but wouldn’t be shocked if UGA wins.

SCar beat the Dawgs by 12 in January but Dawgs hung tough. I expect a physical slugfest tomorrow. There will be NO artistic offense - just a slugfest.
