3 TDs on 22 Touches

Rosa is simultaneously awesome and terrifying when he gets the ball. He has a nose for the end zone but is a turnover machine.

I am surprised we haven't told him to lean out and play WR. I think he'd be a top 20 slot guy in cfb
100% agree. Loved that we used him in the pass game today, I think we should keep doing that. He only had 3 carries for -2 yards today and he’s always a fumble risk, but he has electric playmaking skills and like you said, a nose for the end zone. WR feels like the best way to utilize his skillset

In the game chat I called him an emigma wrapped on a question with a nose for the end zone.

Rosa has never learned to read blocks at the line of scrimmage. He is as good as anyone can be in open space and making people miss, but for every home run he hits, he leaves yards due to poor reads.

I could've sworn Rosa was listed as a WR when he signed here. I checked 247 and see he is listed as an athlete now. Maybe he was listed as a WR upon signing, and it changed once he was used as a RB?

Either way, I agree. Would love to see him used out of the slot

All he does is average 4.8 yards a carry for his career and score TDs. How do you do that if you don’t read blocks?
Is he that fast and overpowering he doesn’t need blocking?

Football coaches like consistent football as opposed to the possibility of a home run td a game. 3 and outs expose the d. It's incumbent on Sammis to get him on the edge and single coverage. That way, he sees the field more and can do his thing.

How many turnovers did he lose the last two seasons? Zero.
When I did the the analysis of his freshman year he had less % turnovers lost per touch than the team. There’s a small circular group here who repeat nonsense to each other and to them it becomes their conventional “wisdom” since it’s not fact base.

I trust the coaching staff here. If there’s one thing that’s stayed consistent throughout Mora’s tenure it’s that we’ve had pretty darn good RB play; they know the room. There’s a reason he hasn’t gotten more than 3 carries in a game this year. The staff recognizes that he can still be a weapon though, and I like the idea of getting him the ball in space

So don’t let facts guide you / lol
Expect that from you!
You expect that from ME??! We’ve never had an exchange in my 15 years on the yard!! You’re the clown that floods threads with your nonsense! Are you denying this thread is a response to your BS from before the game when you were declaring Rosa had never fumbled in his career?!?! You’re a clown who demands attention and never admits to your regular and blatant false “facts”. Go back to the bball board and let the adults discuss football…

On a side note, I love Rosa and cheer for him. I, too, feel he should be getting more touches. But I don’t ruin threads by bombing them with dozens of posts filled with false information attacking everyone who corrects me. Go away!

Bottomline, in the last week I was proven right on the “next steps”coming with the disasteous MBB Big East media deal and Rosa this year with 3 TDs on 22 touches, averages over 5 yards per carry, zero fumbles loss and some key receptions.
The fact that similar clueless folks ignore the readily available statistics and evidence and go by personal feelings vs object fact base analysis means nothing to me or anyone with a brain.

Then should become a slot WR.
Kid is an explosive playmaker. I think he has a chance in nfl as that that kind of slot guy. He has the athletic ability to do it. End around and short passes in space.

I think if he can get a little bit leaner - back to frosh weight he can gain that 1/2 step to put him in a position to maybe play next level. But right now he looks fast again bottom 40 teams but put him up against top 25 and think he might be missing that extra gear.

There should be nothing but positives on his play IMO. I think he’s being utilized just enough. Short yardage downs and slot plays feel just about right. Let’s see what’s ahead for him.

I think this is a very good take. Victor is listed at 5-11, 210. He can definitely lose weight (10-15 pounds) and not lose any strength while gaining quickness. I'm not sure he will get faster but there is reason to believe it would help both his acceleration and wiggle. Many players lose weight over the course of the season, so perhaps this will occur naturally.
