Remember a few years ago when we lacked the outside prowess to stretch defenses? Now we're shooting 53% (21-40) through two games, with a whole host of capable shooters (Omar, Shabazz, Giffey, Boatright, Kromah, Daniels, Tolksdorf, Olander?).

Could we challenge the 95-96 team for best team 3pt percentage? (40.8%)

If Giffey wasn't shooting 89%, the team percentage would be a bit less eye-popping. I'm guessing he and the rest will come down to earth, but they definitely have the ability if they take smart 3's.

Take out Giffey's threes and we're still shooting 42%.

Yep, plus even while he likely will come back down to earth, Daniels should improve.

.-.
Yes

Was what I said disagreeable?

No... just pointing out that it's not all Giffey. 42% is still an elite percentage to shoot from 3.

Well, yeah, it would be for a long stretch. 2 games is a pretty small sample, which is why my hunch is they'll cool off a bit. But I tried to end it by saying they have the ability as long as the quality of the 3's they take stays smart like it's been.
