If Jordan starts at PG tomorrow and is surrounded by Aaliyah, Rickea, Bibby, and Carter/Yemiyah MSU has a good chance to pull off the upset. If Myah starts at PG and plays a lot for no good reason the dawgs won't have much of a chance.

Looks like Kentucky and Rhyne Howard has given up. SC vs Miss St for the championship tomorrow.
You are pretty spot on with that. I’m a little surprised with how out of sorts she got. It’s like she was letting J Danberry take her out of the game.
She also should have been called for one or two reach around fouls on M Taylor.

I still mourn the fact that Jackson didn’t choose Rutgers. What a talent.

Why would she have chosen Rutgers?

At State , she is with a program with two finals appearances and an elite eight the last three years, plays in front 8-9K or more every home game.

About to play USCE for the SECT championship and still can possibly make a deep run in the Tournament.

Can Rutgers top that?

I think Rutgers and South Carolina were her other two finalists.

Oh okay. I did not know that. Thank you for the info and that makes perfect sense. It just seemed a random comment.

That is where post player M Davenport from Alabama went. We were her other finalist.

I read an interview where she said she really liked the Rutgers coach.

Kentucky and Mississippi State only 2 teams whose men and women finished in the top 4 of the SEC. Find that cool that we both got the double bye.

Small victory, I know..... but I'm guessing Starkville feels less disappointing currently for basketball than the other campuses.

I feel like it might be more beneficial to lose tomorrow.

I remember SC in 2018 won the tournament championship game against the 32-0 Bulldogs. They were much happier about it, but they also shirked the fact that that put them directly in UConn's regional.

If we beat South Carolina tomorrow, it puts us in Portland most likely as the #8 team - the worst nightmare according to Bulldog fans. I think Louisville is gonna be #5, UConn will be #6, Stanford will likely be #7. And #8 is up for grabs. UCLA losing might make them a #3 seed now, Northwestern probably now for sure a #3 seed. NcState can secure the last #2 seed if they win tomorrow, and I say we should let them have it. Eh... I dunno. I think if we lose, we're gonna be the #10 or #9 overall team and be put in Dallas. If we win, we could possibly be the #8 overall team and be put in Portland.

LOL...I have no clue why Myah Taylor plays...no clue at all. Jordan should be the PG and should have been the damn starting PG all season long. Surround Jordan with shooters and they would be hard to stop on offense. Myah has no offensive game at all and she's only average defensively yet she plays A LOT. Makes no sense at all.

Dude.....this take is really starting to suck.

Taylor is playing really well. She gets steals, her transition game is beyond awesome, and she makes it unsmooth for the other team to run their offense. She affects passes, and gets turnovers going our way. These things all go unnoticed - that affect why Kentucky and LSU didn't cross 60 points.

Besides, she's a great ball handler and her dribbling around the half court the entire game makes the other team chase her around - teams with less depth are fatigued by the 4th quarter if they spend half their energy chasing the point guard around.

If there's someone who hasn't contributed last 2 games... it's Carter and Bibby. Vic didn't play either a lot today, and yesterday it didn't really matter as Myah and Jordan pretty much dominated the 2nd half and LSU had no answers.

I get your point.. but always play to win a championship. Let bracketology sort itself out later. Even if MSU gets placed in Portland as a 2-seed (you won't, because that's UConn's spot ;)) you all actually play defense, meaning you will compete with Oregon or anybody else in that region. I didn't say you'll win.. but you will make it competitive and if it's competitive then who knows...

Agree, Myah is a typical PG for Vic, her job is not to score but to play pesky defense and facilitate, she does both very well.

Or South Carolina.
Zia Cooke visited State with Rickea, too bad she did not make the same choice as Rickea, that would have been a real gem for Vic! Another that got away this year was Cardoso, really wish Vic could have landed her!

It was long rumored that R Jackson and Z Cooke were going to attend the same college. Therefore I was very concerned when Cooke committed to South Carolina.

I agree regarding Cardoso, especially now that P Taylor has medically retired. She could have come in next season and played without the pressure of having to carry the team.

I agree. I’d rather win and let the seeding fall where it falls. Further, if we beat the overall one seed I could see us possibly jumping beyond the eight seed.

Have a feeling that South Carolina has to win today to remain #1 overall seed.
