2013 Team - Doty, Faris, Buck (Sr), Hartley, Dolson (Jr), Lewis, Stokes (So), Tuck, Stewart, Jefferson (Fr) - Banks inj, Johnson Xfr out, Engeln Xfr out

I find this one interesting because of Stewie being a tough matchup. But the 2009 team had three AAs, including two NPOYs and a Lieberman award winner. Renee would have found a way to beat ND as many times as needed.

IMO any comparisons with the 2013 team are tough because Stewie just exploded in the tournament -- it's not something that we had game in, game out.

If you take the 2013 team's FF play and match it up against UCONN's all-time best squads, I actually think they compare pretty favorably, even with Stef not at 100%.....which is scary. If you take the avg performance of the team throughout the year, it looks a little different. I'm not sure what the best comparison is.

I agree. If you look at the 35-4 season, we had some vulnerabilities. If you look at the final 6 games--which I was fortunate to see in person--the 2013 team matches up with anyone.

Not sure how 2013 UCONN would match up against an uber athletic team that has a good offense, like 2009 UCONN. In the last three games, UCONN struggled with turnovers, averaging 19 a game in their last three outings. Also don't see Charles having much trouble against Dolson, nor do I see Moore having much trouble getting whatever shot she wants against Faris.

2013 is just too young to compete with the experience in 2009.
