Top 7th, BC with a no out 2 run homer off of Coe. 5-2 BC. Hector Alejandro coming in to pitch for UConn. Alejandro faces the minimum.

Top 7th, Alejandro faces the minimum as he picks off a runner.
 
Top 8th, Alejandro gives up a leadoff single, gets the next 2 outs, holding the runner at 1B. Brendan O'Donnell coming into pitch. O'Donnell gets a ground out.

Bottom 8th, Bushling with a 1 out triple, Stock with an RBI single. 5-3 UConn. Stock steals second, but is stranded there.
 
Top 9th, BC puts a runner on 3B with 1 out. O'Donnell comes out, Afthim in to pitch. After Afthim hits a batter, he gets out of it with no runs coming in. 5-3 BC.

Bottom 9th, Simmons with a leadoff walk, the first walk of the game for UConn. Padilla also walks with 1 out, but the runners are stranded. BC wins 5-3.

UConn offense with 7 hits and the 2 9th inning walks on the game.
 
Yuck… wish we had a few of those 19 runs from this past Friday. Broke a 5 game win streak against “them”.
 
URI and BC - didn't see those two coming but it's baseball

According to Coach Penders, a few players had some good moments, but the one big bright spot today in the loss to BC was freshman pitcher Brady Afthim, who got out of a tough jam when he came into the game. Coach says he appears to have a bright future with UConn.
