I have no idea if Fland or Nowell is a better player. But the thought that someone rated #30 by a service is better than someone rated #33 by the same service is giving far, far more credit to slight distinctions than even the people doing the ratings would think they are entitled to.

While everything you say I agree with, I think the bigger point is that one guy is trending down and one is trending up and if it continues there will be a more noticeable distinction between the two. Either way I like the guy we got better than the one we didn't.

No I’m saying I personally think Nowell is better after watching both. Just pointed out it’s the first time an official service has agreed on that.

I'm excited to see how this kid does. At the end of the day, he's performed at a high level when he needed to, but the coach in me sees his wonky-ass shot and cringes physically.

At the end of the day, if the shot falls, the shot falls. Simple, repeatable, with enough arc is the recipe.
