All 5 predictions are for Indiana, is that just because Blackmon decommitted?

My thoughts are now that the cuse got Joseph Indiana will get Whitehead and then we'll get Snider

They don't play the same position, would that be IU's last opening?

I was talking to an IU fan the other day and he said they wanted one big and one guard, maybe he was wrong, I just figured whitehead would be that guard and then they would go after someone like Goodluck

Whitehead isn't a point guard. He plays off the ball and shoots way too much for a PG. My guess is Snider goes to IU he's pretty much guaranteed a starting role if Ferrell leaves for the NBA.

I saw a recent interview with his dad and he said that Indiana hasn't been in contact recently.

don't take see you too seriously...basketball recruiting in such flux

I'm curios then why "the experts" are all calling IU, Jay Hochstetler just called them today

Probably thinking kid wants to be closer to family than UConn. I've felt if IU offered he was heading there. UConn will get Watson. Hope I'm wrong.

I really like Snider and hope we can get him. But if not, I'm not crazy about Watson. From the videos I've seen, he's very small, can't use his left, and I don't think I remember one clip where they showed him make a pass. I'd rather put our faith in some sort of Samuel/Purvis (maybe even Hamilton?) combo running the point for '14 and go all in for Dorsey for '15. At least Dorsey will know for sure he can start at the point as a freshman

I don't want Watson either, looks like a mid major from his videos.

The crystal ball is just a publicity stunt for the 247 bball sites. They let people from sites who have absolutely no knowledge of a particular recruitment post their own guesses, and they often wrong. The Theo Pinson crystal ball page was 100% for Indiana the morning of his announcement, with at least 18 people weighing in by then. It included guys from several Kentucky sites and a Purdue site (UK and Purdue weren't really involved in this recruitment.) Around 9 am the morning of his announcement, news began to break on twitter that things looked good for UNC. Within the next hour, more than half the crystal ball "gurus" had changed their predictions from IU to UNC. You can even go to the page today and see the times and date when they changed their predictions.

So don't take that crystal ball crap seriously. They are only doing it to drum up webpage hits.

There is absolutely no reason to believe he is going to Indiana other than the crystal ball predictions. They have 2 schollies and when Blackmon was committed they were going hardest after a PF/C in Okonoboh. They haven't even offered Snider. UCLA's prime target is JMac and he isn't committing anytime soon (I don't think) so as of right now we are the only big time school that wants him as our primary PG that has him as our #1 target.

People think these recruiting guru's know a lot about every single team, but there are 320+ teams and most of them can't keep up very well. Better to read this board and listen to people like 3uconn than care about what they say on 247sports

I think Indiana ends up with RObert Johnson or Whitehead to go along with Goodluck.

Sometimes those guys who predict for schools are real homers so you gotta be careful how much you read into it.

I wish people would stop evaluating players based on five minute highlight videos.
Every big man video is dunks and every small man video is pretty much outside shots usually against questionable competition. The coaches see these kids in real games for the entire game. Big difference.

I totally agree that you should be hesitant to assume a player is as good as he looks in highlight reels. I'm always skeptical when a high schooler is deemed a beast simply because they can dunk and crossover terrible defenders. But at the same time, if you're able to notice key fundamental flaws in what's supposed to be a compilation of the player's best plays, I think it's valid to make judgements. Especially for stuff like height and using their off hand.

I don't even know why we're going after this guy. I get that Ollie is fearful that we might lose out on all 3 of our big 2014 point guard recruits, but we already have Samuel, and Purvis is also attempting to transition to the point. I'd rather tough it out for a year and go after a 2015 guard (Dorsey?) than place hope in two mid-level points considering how important point guards are in today's game.

He can also easily take an unofficial there, so it's unlikely he'll use an official. His dad even said they would be using the officials on schools further from home.

Last three predictions have been for UCLA

Jerry Meyer was asked on twitter why he chose UCLA and his response was something like "UCLA is his first visit." Not much of a reason and tells you all you need to know about these picks.
