There are also band wagon sports fans within the same school. If basketball is good this year they follow basketball, if baseball is good the next they are baseball fans and so on. The what ever is hot fans.

Oh, I know those. During the Dark Ages of the Ty Willingham era, many UW football fans became huge basketball fans when Romar got things rolling. Then went back to football when they started improving and LoRo was going the opposite direction.

Btw, So Oregon bused up to Seattle and did not fly. If that is the case its going to be heck of a trip from Seattle to Pullman.

Who is Teder? 20 points, 6-10 behind the arc. Cougs up 3 w/ about 30 ticks left.

During the Westhead years I never sat foot in the arena out of protest. I followed Runge and Bev Smith.

To answer myself, she was averaging 6 ppg and 3-11 from behind the arc coming into today. Figures. So far this year OSU has done a really good job of letting one player go off from the 3 point line against them.

Guys, I called it earlier this week on the Pac-12 thread on boneyard that Oregon State would not get a sweep. It is worse than just a rebuild year for Scott. It is real shocking that he is falling behind.

First win by WSU over OSU since February 2013. Wow.

Johanna Teder of WSU was a revelation this game, going 6 of 10 from the arc. Made her name in this one.

I think there are multiple layers of bandwagoning. Changing allegiance is the extreme variant. Making one's viewership contingent upon the team playing well is the more down-low, and more common, approach.

Red and White winning -- always good

Powder blue winning -- always bad

Powder blue losing -- makes for an excellent day, especially when coupled with a Red and White victory on the same day.

No bandwagon fan here. I bleed Red and White.

Yeah they should not be ranked. This is not a good team. Reuck is a dinosaur.

Coach said they’re driving to Seattle but then flying to Pullman Presume then flying back to Eugene and released to go home for Christmas break.

So this Christmas break and COVID. Do you think football and basketball players are given special instructions? How many issues will there be first week of January? Will players return and quaranteen? Any hear of the details

Well, the issue so clearly in the box score:
OSU shot 49.5% FG, 38.5% 3pt, 80% FT (4/5) had 34 rebounds, 14 assists, 4 steals but a whopping 20 turnovers
WSU shot 32.9%, 32% 3pt, 87.5% FT (7/8), had 35 rebounds, 12 assists, 12 steals and only 8 turnovers.

In conference play, for 4 games it's:
OSU 61 assists, 23 steals and 66 Turnovers
Opp 64 assists, 44 steals and 45 Turnovers

You can't tell me that OSU does not have a "guard or backcourt" problem...

They've also got a frontcourt problem. Look at the O boards allowed and how many they grabbed. Also scoring other than Jones. They have A LOT of problems.

Said on Ducks broadcast that they are flying to Pullman. Ducks should be well rested for the Cougs.

Yeah they are nowhere near athletic enough in their front court. Being tall is great in high school and against Brigham Young Episcopal

OSU players are struggling, but I think the coaching staff is struggling even more. Rueck finally shortened his bench in 2nd half, and there was noticeable improvement. However, this team is "soft" compared to previous Beaver Teams, and at every position. Our toughest players are the 2 new freshmen, and, we have no Pivecs (always on the floor, never giving any ground). IF OSU is to turn this around, Rueck and coaching staff will need to draw a line in the sand, and play the members of his team who are willing to be fearless. WSU team played fearless, and, just flat out just out-hustled, out-physical'ed, and, just showed they had more will to win. When OSU's opponents get 70 field goal attempts to OSU's 50 FGAs, that is all the evidence you need to show your team that you have to play tougher, play harder, and fight for every loose ball. I'm still hopeful, but this season is now officially on life support, and will require step-function improvements in each game going forward.
