2028 Recruiting: Sutton Villa

Coach Valley recently began following AAU squad E5 Select. I'm pretty sure it's for 6-6 center Sutton Villa, the #8 ranked player in ESPN's 2028 rankings, though I haven't seen confirmation yet.

The current #8 showed elite size and mobility with a soft touch. Has to continue to grow in terms of burying defenders in the post on the offensive end. Villa’s helpside defensive instincts as a rim protector are super elite. I believe that if Sutton’s upside is reached, she could be in the #1 pick conversation in the WNBA draft down the line.

Villa is a true elite post prospect with legitimate size, length and mobility. She can finish with either hand, and can utilize fundamental counter moves around the rim. She has an instinct to keep the ball high on finishes and rebounds. Villa has advanced footwork for her age.

Her recruitment is heating up, and is expected to skyrocket this spring and summer. BYU has offered already.
