2028 Recruiting: Morghan Reckley

Reckley has proven that she is as good of a Point Guard as any prospect in the sophomore class to date. She was a member of the USA Basketball 16-and-Under roster that won Gold this summer. Reckley is a dynamic option in the backcourt capable of making positive plays early and often in a game. She will work out of the Pick and Roll action. She’s a willing passer who finds a way to get both feet in the paint on a consistent basis off the dribble drive. Reckley is shooting the 3-pointer well these days too. On the other end of the floor, Reckley has the skill set to be a high-level primary defender. Though her pace of play is different, her productivity at the position is the closest thing the Class of 2028 has to Kaleena Smith in 2027. All signs point to Reckley being a 5-star caliber prospect throughout her school career.

Now we’re talking. I’d take another Mo Jefferson. She’s a sophomore and looks about 12 years old.

I'd say the comparison to Smith is legitimate. Shake n Bake, banging 3s, and cookin at the rim with either hand. I'm all in on The Recker. 👍

This game might be over early. SC had her in for an unofficial visit and offered her. It’s only a short, enticing 3 1/2 hour drive across I20 to Columbia. And they got that whole southern culture thing going on besides the cash and PG guru Staley.
