Change is to much larger arena while the first weekend will still be home games for teams that earn them...then the 2 sites ]not 4] for the second weekend.

Hope they're enough hotels in the two regional sites!
2026: Fort Worth, TX and Sacramento, CA
2027: Philadelphia, PA and Las Vegas, NV (for sure both cities have enough hotels, Geno will need one just for his family in Philly)
2028: Portland, OR and Washington, DC

As part of their bids, I'm sure the sites need to show how many hotel rooms they will be able to set aside for the event.

The Spokane problem a couple of years ago came about when Gonzaga unexpectedly earned 1st/2nd round hosting.

"Regional" sort of implies 4. You know like Nort, South, East and West. I have no clue what 2 implies. Didn't they go to 2 in response to Covid? If so, perhaps 2 is outdated. (And yes, I know they play 2 "regionals" at 1 site.)

Ft Worth and Sacramento. Neither one are anywhere near the east coast or Midwest. I guess they don’t value the fans from these states. But Texas and the California teams are pleased.

Wait till fans try to book rooms in Ft Worth and find out it's the same week as the Texas State High School Rodeo Tournament. 💥
