It’s so hard. I think next years schedule is bad, but UMAss and Army aren’t on it because of going into leagues. But, I like this one in 2026. Five P5 teams. Temple, James Madison, Air Force and Wyoming are interesting.

I just don’t want to see MaC teams besides buffalo. lol. No more ball state or directional Michigan.

This is a really good schedule for UConn. Five P4 Games all of which should be competitive, a combination of local G5/FCS matchups, and two interesting road trips to Laramie and Colorado Springs for fans who are inclined to travel. The only thing missing is that one P5 Buy Game, however I'm not sure it is in the program's best interest (fighting for bowl eligibility) to have to travel to an Ohio State or Georgia to collect a check.

I like the schedule. The way it's set up is gonna be pretty rough though. The front half is heavy with tough games but a good number at home. The competition eases up but only a bit and it's 5 out of 7 on the road. Thankful that JMU is a home game down the stretch.

2026 away games at USAFA 10/31 and a month later at Wyoming 11/28: Christmas comes early for UConn equipment truck drivers.

An SEC team coming to the rent is huge and it’s not Vanderbilt (who is no joke btw). Does Lane Kiffin back out if we maintain a high level of winning especially at the rent.
If it was the second game of the home & home, yes... but because it's the first leg of a home & home, it's less likely; as it would invite UConn to bail out of the return (which is a late in the season date, typically harder to fill).

it’s more likely Kiffin is gone from Ole Miss by then.

those army games always scare me. hopefully by 2027 we'll be so far above them talentwise that their offensive scheme confusing us, doesn't play a role.. and we can just mop the floor with them no matter what they try.

That's a good but tough schedule. If we stay on track from the 2024 season and keep improving and bringing in talent, I believe that by the 2026 season rolls around it'll make for some very fun games.

It’s an honor to play Air Force, but army scares you?

Lose the word scared when talking opponents. How about Army presents some unique challenges.

I'm not sure I see any Big 12 or PAC 12 programs on the future schedules

It's an honor to play any service academy.
this.
thank you for understanding my appreciation of the idea of playing service academies.

honor and "scared" are 2 unrelated concepts.
It is always an honor to play a service academy, and army's offense is just plane weird, which causes me "concern".

point taken, though the game concerns me

Army is a game that can be a problem for us, is my point. we could either destroy them or get destroyed by their awkward offense, IMO.

hope is that we are so far beyond them by the time we play next, that it doesn't matter what their scheme is.
