2026 UConn Football Spring Game - Saturday, April 11 @2p at Rentschler Field

I wasn’t there. Wife recovering from knee surgery, but I doubt Merk came here without at least a sense that he was the starter. As we saw with Joe, performance will ultimately be the deciding factor, but the qb depth chart at the moment is Merk, everyone else. That might not be the case come the first game but it is now.

The music was really annoying. During a real game its not allowed! Older fans around me complained constantly and then left

First impression. Overall team looked small in size. It would have been nice to hand out printed 1 sheet player rosters. Drills and time management were well organized. Good job refreshing + updating men's bathroom.

If Merk was injured (or at least out for precautionary measures) wouldn't this tweet be a little off? McDonald would be the 2nd teamer and Osborne the 3rd teamer as the other account in this thread tweeted at the start?

Either way interesting McDonald is ahead of Osborne on the depth chart
Surprising to hear Tucker is ahead of Osborne unless he's really made a jump because Osborne looked good in their bowl game and came in with a rep.

Based on listed sizes in welcome posts, they seemed to be bigger than what we had, especially at linebacker, wideouts, and o-line. Like you, am looking forward to more info.

Candle said he doesn't do depth charts in spring. That is what fall camp is for. Makes sense based on the units out there.

To bad we lost murkawski! Might be the biggest lost to the portal

Osborne missed a few passes and threw a pick. Tucker seemed more accurate. Merklinger generally looked better in the early drill than either.
