I don't know if any of the four guys we have coming in this year or coming back will give us what Fagnano gave us last year. But I also don't know if any of them won't. This is a very interesting quarterback room looking to contribute. In a logical world, the true freshman would learn the ropes and get familiar with the program and also learn from the more experienced guys. But I don't think any coach is going to pass on someone that shows them in practice that they're ready to help the team win. Realistically though I think Jake will get a close look along with his guy from Toledo. I think our depth at the position just got levels ahead of where we were last year.

if we have an actual defense next year, we won't need a hero QB every week.
But i also won't say no, to putting up 40 points a game, lol

How quickly the narrative can shift in college football these days.

This is a pipe dream recruiting/transfer class for us 5 years ago.

YES! A P2 portal QB! Welcome, Jake. I think you will have a great time at UConn and help us win a lot of football games!

What a difference 5 years makes!! What a turn around by Dave Benedict, the Athletic Department and even Jim Mora. If you said toe 6 years ago, a QB will transfer to UConn who was a 4 star recruit, I'd be asking where you got your drugs.

I'm super excited for the season to begin. I think Jason Candle will keep the tractory of UConn football going up... The sky the limit...

Can't wait for the next recruit/transfer portal to be announced...

Now that we have this guy I suppose it doesn't matter, but Georgia has a kid who played at Avon Ryan Puglisi who was backup to Stockton. Stockton is returning and they just got a transfer from Oregon. Wonder if this kid would have any interest in playing closer to home

I wouldn’t be surprised if that could be an option but if our QB situation goes as hoped next year (good production and sticks around), Puglisi Twon’t be necessary.

In that case, the time to have recruited him would’ve been now.
