2026 UConn Football Commit - Bo Polston (Indianapolis, Indiana)

Question: Since he originally committed to Toledo before Coach Candle was hired away by UConn, does he get to immediately sign his letter of intent with the Huskies or have to wait until the February signing date?

That signing day LOI BS is just BS now…read somewhere the process has changed with NIL and it’s more a “financial aid” agreement with the university. Which Bo may not have actually signed yet…but they can still get out of it with a coaching change.

Polston started 47 of a possible 51 games during his career, throwing for 6,541 yards and 68 touchdowns, in addition to 1,500 yards and 20 TDs rushing, an all-stater three times “Just a tough, hard-nosed kid who’s a great leader,” Enright said. “He’s a people-oriented person, and really loves Coach Candle and Coach Weiner.” <-

Wow. You couldn’t really say anything better than that. Hopefully, his poise and maturity extends to the field. Seems like answered prayers to me.

Interesting to see if he is ready to play as a true freshman. We have read that Candle is honest with recruits about how soon they will play, so I am sure he already knows if playing immediately is an option.

This interview was off the charts motivating. The Bo Polston I just heard has a very strong connection to Coach Candle and wants fo translate that connection to UConn and the surrounding community. He also has a ton of confidence and aspirations for winning and putting us in the national spotlight. That may seem unreasonable to a lot of us around here but until he proves it wrong I'm willing to get on that ride. Now lets get him some blockers.
