2026 Recruiting Thread

Maybe Evers will have improved; maybe porter will take the step we all want to see him take; Neider has been a pleasant surprise this year, hopefully he continues to develop.

You can't just call on them and call it a day. Everyone needs to be recruited over and you hope that they step up and it's 1A and1B.

With all the names that were honored at Senior day, it will be interesting to see who is still here next season.
I'm praying Evers learned a few tricks after sitting this year.. We need him to come up big for us... Fagnano may have been the most flawless QB in UConn Football history (FBS... even better than Dan 0)... The guy showed every bit of what a 7 year college vet can do for a football program at QB... Wish he had 1 more year... Hoping a lot of that success was helped by our new QB coach too.. that'd mean all our QBs might be able to open things up and follow suit...

Super intrigued about Ksaan Farrar .. Will he leapfrog Evers and Tucker?

The new staff will have to re-recruit these players. That is why the new head coach is so important

Damian Moore is a 6-0 200lb RB/ATH from Edgewater High School, Orlando Florida. Previously committed to Duquesne University (6/2025). Other offers from ArkState, Army, Austin Peay, Bryant, Delaware, Gardner-Webb, Missouri State, Navy, Rhode Island, Tennessee State, Toledo, UMass and WMU.

Moore is from the same high school as current 2026 QB commit Carter Emmanuel

Xavier Wimbush is a 6-0 190lb DB from Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn Virginia. Other offers from Bryant, Buffalo, Hampton, Monmouth, Morgan State, New Hampshire, Old Dominion, Rhode Island, Sacred Heart and Towson

Xavier was in Storrs for his official visit back @ the beginning of June.

So he doesn't even care that some of them didn't even decommit he's just offering them anyway? It's become an even dirtier business than it was before.
It's not unusual for schools to offer kids who have verballed elsewhere, it was happening for some of these kids before Mora left. Schools swooping in or trying to snipe committed kids been a thing since long before UConn was in FBS.

He'll probably justify it by saying it's not poaching/tampering, as the kids haven't signed anything yet, nor are already on a team, opposed to what he was bitching about after last season. JMO.

I’m not sure why any of this is surprising. Like someone else said, whoever we get here next, we’ll be hoping he brings his recruits or players with him as well. It’s part of CFB. This isn’t even a newer part of it.
