2026 Recruiting Thread

Nate Dawson is a 6-2 185lb DB from Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati Ohio. (Previously committed to Toledo).

Northwestern gave him a late offer but he stayed with Toledo so they may be back in but Candle’s relationships are a big part of his recruiting
They’re back….

Matt Ragan is a 6-5 250lb TE from Westboro MA attending Boston College. Transfer Portal w/ one-two years of eligibility remaining.

Becomes our 4th highest rate recruit ever with a credible offer list, but apparently, he never caught on at BC with only 1 catch to his credit. Hopefully he is able to flip the switch here, and we did need at least another TE in the room, so this could be a great signing. Also, Toledo offered him out of high school, so he likely had a relationship with HCJC already.

He’s got a week to learn it’s UConn
idk i at least prefer Uconn (which it often autocorrects to if your phone isn't used to you typing it a bunch so I can give those not already well-entrenched in the community a pass) to UCONN or (retches) the NYT's U. Conn.

Whatever it is it's definitely not the University of UConn which is what the tweet says.

No harm no foul though. Just glad he committed here

Then, there’s U-Conn which sometimes still appears in The Washington Post.

Ross graduated from Donald Brown’s high school, Red Bank Catholic.

Speaking of Brown, wonder what UConn’s 1st FBS All American, all-time rusher (3,800 yds), 2009 1st round draft pick (Colts), and 7-year NFL player (Colts 5, Chargers 2) is up to since ending his playing days?
