I won’t go any further off topic, but not wanting Notre Dame to short end them on a football series is completely understandable. Notre Dame would not have salvaged anything regarding our current situation.

Yeah let's not play a program that would give enormous exposure and credibility at a time when we needed it most and during a time that Notre Dame had become reasonably beatable. Would've been a positive in relations with the ACC to boot. Bad decision all the way around.
