The draft is next Monday. I believe players had to declare no later than today, depending on when their season ended. Did we have 3 players declare?
Extremelyseems like a very weak draft

I also haven't seen a list of players who've declared for the draft or anything from Aubrey or Kaitlyn on social media. But, if I have my years right, since Aubrey and Kaitlyn are out of eligibility, I don't think they have to officially declare for the draft. According to the WNBA website, "College seniors who have exhausted all eligibility are not required to renounce," as opposed to someone like Paige, who technically could have come back for her COVID year.I was under the impression that there is a list on wnba.com of players that have officially declared for the draft. I can't find any announcements or lists this year on the website.
I would hope that they have to declare by some means just so the GMs know who's available in the draft. And the sooner, the better.I also haven't seen a list of players who've declared for the draft or anything from Aubrey or Kaitlyn on social media. The GM's know who is eligible for the draft, they have a staff that does that for them. Every player that started the season that would not have any eligibility left at the end of their college season was already being ranked.I would hope that they have to declare by some means just so the GMs know who's available in the draft. Good point—otherwise, anyone who's "exhausted all eligibility" could theoretically be drafted, ready and willing or notI would hope that they have to declare by some means just so the GMs know who's available in the draft. And the sooner, the better.
Agree 100%, Morrow over Citron. Morrow doesn't look like a player, but the kid is a 100% baller for sure.Hailey Van Lith really helped her draft stock coming back another year .. I like Citron but I would go with Morrow over her she’s rebounding put back machine .. KIKI from watching her this season wasn’t overly impressed
I agree 100% with you that the GMs know who is eligible. But I am going to pose a 100% hypothetical. The GM's know who is eligible for the draft, they have a staff that does that for them. I believe that if Aubrey was going to sit out she would at least state it prior to the draft so that she did not misguide the GM's and their teams.I agree 100% with you that the GMs know who is eligible. But I am going to pose a 100% hypothetical.
What if a GM is thinking of selecting Aubrey. But Aubrey, hypothetically, would rather sit out this WNBA season in order to rehab her sore knee to prevent a long-term situation. She was rested at the end of this season for a reason.
I believe the GM, and league, would like to know. Not sure if teams would draft a second or third round pick that wasn't immediately available.
I repeat, this is hypothetical and is totally my thinking alone and not rumor based.
Unless one of the foreign players (#3&7) become stars, there’s only one future star in this draft.Extremely
Yeah, this list has me shaking my head more than agreeing with it. I don’t know anything about Malonga, but I could see Morrow going as high as second. Sellers is really good, but she’s never stood out to me. I don’t get the love for Amoore. Yes, she’s really good, too, but she’ll shoot you out of games as often as she keeps you in them.Agree 100%, Morrow over Citron. Morrow doesn't look like a player, but the kid is a 100% baller for sure.
Bueckers seems like the only surefire pick.By USA Today, (WNBA mock draft: Projected first-round picks after 2025 women's NCAA championship)
2025 WNBA mock draft
1. Dallas Wings: G Paige Bueckers (UConn)
2. Seattle Storm: G Sonia Citron (Notre Dame)
3. Washington Mystics: F/C Dominique Malonga (France)
4. Washington Mystics: F Aneesah Morrow (LSU)
5. Golden State Valkyries: F Kiki Iriafen (USC)
6. Washington Mystics: G Shyanne Sellers (Maryland)
7. Connecticut Sun: F Ajša Sivka (Slovenia)
8. Connecticut Sun: G Georgia Amoore (Kentucky)
9. Los Angeles Sparks: G Hailey Van Lith (TCU)
10. Chicago Sky: G Te-Hina Paopao (South Carolina)
With Fudd, Miles & Johnson (LSU) all electing to stay in college for another year, it really is an exceptionally weak draft.seems like a very weak draft
Which is the point that I was making in my post #10 above.I believe that if Aubrey was going to sit out she would at least state it prior to the draft so that she did not misguide the GM's and their teams.
I agree with you about Rayah Marshall. I've watched her play a fair amount, especially over the past two seasons, and it seems to me that she's worked hard and continued to improve, which speaks well of her potential in the W. Compare her to Kiki Iriafen, who, in my eyes, didn't really develop this year at USC. Will she get better as a pro? Maybe.Rayah Marshall always showed flashes but never blew up in college. I think there's a decent possibility she could be better as a pro than she was in college. Could be steal for somebody if she slips to late 1st round or 2nd round.
Marshall was the best player on the court for USC in the Elite 8 game. It makes you wonder how good she might of been all year if USC ran some plays for her instead of letting JuJu go 1 on 1 all the time.I agree with you about Rayah Marshall. Marshall also plays with a lot of passion. In USC's Elite 8 game against UConn, she showed great energy and tenacity. If it were possible to will a team to victory, she just might have.
