The draft is next Monday. I believe players had to declare no later than today, depending on when their season ended. Did we have 3 players declare?

I was under the impression that there is a list on wnba.com of players that have officially declared for the draft. I can't find any announcements or lists this year on the website. I looked at X and saw no announcements or lists (I didn't login but did see some recent tweets nevertheless).
No idea what is going on. Maybe there are announcements on individual player's X or Instagram accounts?????

Hailey Van Lith really helped her draft stock coming back another year .. I like Citron but I would go with Morrow over her she’s rebounding put back machine .. KIKI from watching her this season wasn’t overly impressed

I also haven't seen a list of players who've declared for the draft or anything from Aubrey or Kaitlyn on social media. But, if I have my years right, since Aubrey and Kaitlyn are out of eligibility, I don't think they have to officially declare for the draft. According to the WNBA website, "College seniors who have exhausted all eligibility are not required to renounce," as opposed to someone like Paige, who technically could have come back for her COVID year.

I would hope that they have to declare by some means just so the GMs know who's available in the draft. And the sooner, the better.

The GM's know who is eligible for the draft, they have a staff that does that for them. Every player that started the season that would not have any eligibility left at the end of their college season was already being ranked.

Good point—otherwise, anyone who's "exhausted all eligibility" could theoretically be drafted, ready and willing or not

Agree 100%, Morrow over Citron. Morrow doesn't look like a player, but the kid is a 100% baller for sure.

I agree 100% with you that the GMs know who is eligible. But I am going to pose a 100% hypothetical.
What if a GM is thinking of selecting Aubrey. But Aubrey, hypothetically, would rather sit out this WNBA season in order to rehab her sore knee to prevent a long-term situation. She was rested at the end of this season for a reason.
I believe the GM, and league, would like to know. Not sure if teams would draft a second or third round pick that wasn't immediately available.
I repeat, this is hypothetical and is totally my thinking alone and not rumor based.

I believe that if Aubrey was going to sit out she would at least state it prior to the draft so that she did not misguide the GM's and their teams.

Yeah, this list has me shaking my head more than agreeing with it. I don’t know anything about Malonga, but I could see Morrow going as high as second. Sellers is really good, but she’s never stood out to me. I don’t get the love for Amoore. Yes, she’s really good, too, but she’ll shoot you out of games as often as she keeps you in them.

As was said above, this is a really weak draft.

One more chance for a Paige-Geno hug.

Bueckers seems like the only surefire pick.

I love Citron’s game but having her at #2 overall seems insane to me. I think at best she’s a 4th or 5th option role player in the pros and isn’t starting her first few years.

Malonga has great upside. I’d pick her at 2 or 3.

Morrow is a phenomenal pick for whoever takes her. If Angel Reese is an example, her tenacity on the glass will outweigh any shortcomings regarding her perimeter shot and skills. That’s easier to develop than her rebounding instincts.

Iriafen is a wild card. She looked horrible in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 but plays like a smaller A’ja Wilson other times. I could see her being a very good pro or being like Ruthy Hebard who was great in college but faltered in the W.

Sellers I’m not really seeing as a strong pro, though Maryland kids often pan out quite well. Brenda develops talent extremely well.

I don’t think Amoore/Van Lith are efficient enough or good enough defensively to be long term players. Pao Pao could be a good fit with her size, range and IQ.

Other players I think would be smart to take in the first round are Saniya Feagin, Aziaha James, Serena Sundell, and Sarah Ashlee Barker. Especially Feagin, who is 6-4, blocks shots well and has a good face up game.

Next year’s class looks much stronger with Latson, Betts, Flaujae, Fudd, Miles, Kneepkens, Kitts, Ashlyn Watkins, and Cotie McMahon all entering.

By way of comparison, here's The Athletic's mock draft that was released earlier today:

1. Dallas Wings: Paige Bueckers | 6-0 guard | UConn

2. Seattle Storm: Dominique Malonga | 6-6 center | ASVEL Lyon (France)

3. Washington Mystics: Sonia Citron | 6-1 wing | Notre Dame

4. Washington Mystics: Justė Jocytė | 6-2 wing | ASVEL Lyon (France)

5. Golden State Valkyries: Kiki Iriafen | 6-3 forward | USC

6. Washington Mystics: Saniya Rivers | 6-1 guard | NC State

7. Connecticut Sun: Aneesah Morrow | 6-1 forward | LSU

8. Connecticut Sun: Shyanne Sellers | 6-2 wing | Maryland

9. Los Angeles Sparks: Serena Sundell | 6-1 guard | Kansas State

10. Chicago Sky: Te-Hina Paopao | 5-9 guard | South Carolina

11. Minnesota Lynx: Georgia Amoore | 5-6 guard | Kentucky

12. Dallas: Rayah Marshall | 6-4 forward/center | USC

Which is the point that I was making in my post #10 above.

I didn't watch that much of NC State, but mostly when I did I was more impressed with James than Rivers.

Rayah Marshall always showed flashes but never blew up in college. I think there's a decent possibility she could be better as a pro than she was in college. Could be steal for somebody if she slips to late 1st round or 2nd round.

I think that Sarah Ashlee Barker and Lucy Olsen might be two "sleepers" in the 2025 draft. I'm surprised that there seems that there has been very little buzz about either of them.

Here's another potential sleeper--Dalayah Daniels from Washington. I kind of think of her as a discount Satou Sabally, without the 3 point shooting but also without being injury prone. She can really put the ball on the floor and attack on the drive for a 6-4 player. Has some nifty moves in the post too. She might not even make a roster, but if she can find the right spot I think she has a chance.

I agree with you about Rayah Marshall. I've watched her play a fair amount, especially over the past two seasons, and it seems to me that she's worked hard and continued to improve, which speaks well of her potential in the W. Compare her to Kiki Iriafen, who, in my eyes, didn't really develop this year at USC. Will she get better as a pro? Maybe.

Marshall also plays with a lot of passion. In USC's Elite 8 game against UConn, she showed great energy and tenacity. If it were possible to will a team to victory, she just might have.

Marshall was the best player on the court for USC in the Elite 8 game. It makes you wonder how good she might of been all year if USC ran some plays for her instead of letting JuJu go 1 on 1 all the time.
