Tamarus Walker is a 6-4 310lb OL from Owings Mills, Maryland > Maryland. (Transfer Portal w/ 3 years of eligibility remaining?). Other offers from ArkState, Coastal Carolina, New Mexico State, North Carolina A&T and Southern Miss.

The years remaining mean nothing in this era. I prefer it when they have 1 year remaining. They have no choice but to lock in.
My sense in this era it's a little different for OL. The best OLs are together for multiple years in order to gel.

This thread is about a player moving after essentially 1 year. Investing hopes in a player beyond one season is a bad investment. Enjoy them while you have them and hope for the best.

Can we not have some positivity on the fact that some players excel and help their line gel ???

The power of negativity will never be lost on this forum, sad to say.

That wasn't meant to be negative. Most of the OL who will play for us this year were on the roster last year. That doesn't mean that a piece or two added every year to move into a starter role isn't necessary now and then. Look at Hoeh last year and Guidone three years ago.

Nice pickup! Appeared in 9 games as a freshman? Did I read that correctly? If so, an even better pick up than it looks! Even if it was some mop up time.

i tend to hope that a good OL or DL will stay at uconn and not transfer, because it seems to me that a path to the NFL for these guys, doesn't correlate to wins/losses, especially for OL. i think this is why UConn keeps sending OL's to the draft and no one else pretty much. skill position players probably correlate more with W/L's, so they will be looking to portal more, for the next shiny object.

Would love to know more about this guy. Seems like a pretty quick move for a player who saw plenty of action early. Was he pushed or just testing the waters and we swooped in? Either way I love our commitment to beefing up the OL. It's probably he most cost effective way to improve offensive production and let your QB develop.
