I predict she goes to Vandy. No inside info, just a hunch. And I’d be ok with that.I actually think Vanderbilt may be Heckel's best option for impact and PT.

Why do you think that, did I miss something? My 1st choice of course would be signing Serah for 1 year and I would love for Kayleigh to come to UConn, but not at the expense of upsetting the positive vibes with KK, Ashlynn, Morgan, Azzi, and Allie!
Especially KK and Ashlynn as they've paid their dues these 2 years! These next 2 years should be their time to shine!
As an OLD coach there's nothing worse than a toxic locker room!
All returnees and 3 recent rookie recruits should sign off positively to bring a + 3 year player on board!
I guess we'll know by Friday!
I can't speak to the possible reaction of the other guards, but KK and K9 were both at Kelsey Plum's Dawg Camp and probably got to know each other a bit, and I suspect the possibility of Uconn might have come up.My 1st choice of course would be signing Serah for 1 year and I would love for Kayleigh to come to UConn, but not at the expense of upsetting the positive vibes with KK, Ashlynn, Morgan, Azzi, and Allie!

Don't worry BD.....even an old dog learns something new every day. Takes one to know one.Huh. I prolly dismissed those as mere rumors. Live and learn.

BRS24– - -Because KK and Ashlynn were starters as freshmen and last year moved to come off the bench so they could easily be thinking it’s their time and the coaches don’t have confidence in them to do the job!Why do you think that, did I miss something?
This is the part of your post we ( @BRS24 and myself) want to know why you're thinking that "I guess we'll know by Friday!"BRS24– - -Because KK and Ashlynn were starters as freshmen and last year moved to come off the bench so they could easily be thinking it’s their time and the coaches don’t have confidence in them to do the job!
They are teenagers and you really don’t know what they are thinking!
But they could go along for the good of the team!
You just never know!

So, you are setting the parameters now? Interesting to say the least. I had no idea that there were rules to the conversation involving transfers. Transfers are something that changes teams completely and that is a conversation to be had in advance and after. Chemistry with other players and coaches coaching style is a big part of that...I would argue the biggest part of a transfer conversation. With all due respect, this is a "Transfer Portal" Thread that was established for all teams and all transfers. Fine and dandy to discuss whether one potential transfer might do this or that for one team or another, but can we keep detailed analysis on team chemistry and this player vs. that player to respective team threads (regardless of the team)? Gracias.![]()
Not setting: suggesting. I put the thread up with the idea of covering players entering the portal. To some degree, the best chat boards are self-regulating to some degree and I'm not the first-- or the last -- to make a suggestion that a thread "stay on (the) initial track" before a moderator does so for us. Please reread the request: I get how a possible transfer could affect a team but just want to keep the main gist on the transfers out here (like the other hot thread now is on the landing places). And, as noted, lots of schools have entire threads or boards (S. Carolina, Texas, ND, UConn) to do work on specific areas. I just read the very thorough one on the UConn side on Heckel/Williams. Heck, ND needs the portal to field a team, let alone deal with chemistry. So, you are setting the parameters now? Interesting to say the least. . BTW, good luck with the Heckel/Williams visits and/or decisions.Yes, however I think Dillon77's point is that the most recent swerve regarding team chemistry would be better served in a team related thread. Especially a topic like the chemistry topic for UConn being discussed. Usually this is something we'd see on the UConn board moreso than the general board. So, you are setting the parameters now? Centerstream and BRS24- - - I'm guessing since both Serah and Kayleigh are having UConn as their LAST visit they should make up their minds by Friday or Saturday of this week!
I think that Dillon is speaking for most people on this thread, myself included, and I am a diehard UConn fan and have been since before the first national championship. As Dillon noted, it is fine (and I would add sensible) to discuss the potential impact of a transfer on a team, but when that segues into a detailed analysis of that team's chemistry the thread changes it's character. This is particularly a risk when the team being discussed is UConn because of the likelihood that fans interested primarily in UConn will dominate the thread and drown out discussions of other transfers and other teams. There is already a lively thread on the UConn only side of this forum regarding the potential impact of a Heckle transfer. So, you are setting the parameters now? Interesting to say the least. That's an interesting misspelling (per discussions of effects on team chemistry)Heckel
.I think Kayleigh would be a great addition to ND, assuming she and Hannah can mesh somehow. They would become the top backcourt pair almost overnight. And I don't know that there would have to be tension. Kayleigh is more narrowly a PG while Hannah can play SG, and they're both tremendous defenders with great energy. That's an interesting misspelling (per discussions of effects on team chemistry).
Ms. Heckel would be a great addition to the many teams interested in her and those she's visited.
(Thanks for your note, btw....)
ND is a dumpster fire, Hidalgo is another Juju, not the happiest place for anyone. Another perhaps is playing championship level BB close to home? Reason says UConn is the best choice for both player and team.I think Kayleigh would be a great addition to ND, assuming she and Hannah can mesh somehow. The only question in my mind concerns Kayleigh's reason for leaving USC in the first place. This is all just uninformed speculation.
Personally, I suspect she might be happiest at ND, though she might not recognize it yet. I think she can be happy at UConn or Vandy, too, at least happier than she was at USC.
- Did she leave to get out of Juju's shadow and perhaps figured Jazzy would simply step into the Juju role next season and leave her once again on the bench? If that's what she was thinking, perhaps she might worry that Hannah will be another Juju figure.
- Or was she disappointed in the Elite Eight loss to UConn and wanted a better shot at the title? If so, ND doesn't look like a title contender, at least not right now.
- Or was there perhaps a more general frustration felt by her and Howell that triggered their departures? A problem with the coaching style? If so, Niele might look like a very attractive destination to her.
- Or was she looking for a place where there might be more open competition for PT? She looks very much like a kid who likes competition. In that case, again, ND looks like an attractive choice.
She would never ever be happy at ND!! Besides, they have too many possible walk-ons to choose from their student body.I think Kayleigh would be a great addition to ND, assuming she and Hannah can mesh somehow. There is a fine line to this topic. I've had one thread deleted and one merged over here from the UConn board because it was deemed to have too much Iowa flavor. I didn't agree, but I get it.I think that Dillon is speaking for most people on this thread, myself included, and I am a diehard UConn fan and have been since before the first national championship. Yes, fat and happy!
No surprise, the rich get richer. Right when it started to look like we were headed toward parity we’re swinging back hard in the other direction where all of the best players are clustering to top teams.
Good luck with that. lol People stress over ice cream flavor choices.I suspect the recent proliferation of anxious pro-UConn posts on this thread were merely an effect of the stress over Serah Williams. Hopefully, now we can all return to our previous sang-froid.

Have no fear, West Raleigh may be even poorer than the Durham folk.Yeah.. tired of them. Rich getting overstuffed plates full of food and desserts. Meanwhile the poor like us in West Durham are like.
