We're all guessing and reading the tea leaves, including this account. But I think it can be inferred that Texas is out of the picture just based on recent developments...but maybe not. Skim Milky thinks UCLA is in the lead but no one really knows anything. South Carolina staff still feel like they have a chance and most South Carolina players started following her social media accounts over the past 24-48 hours so that could be a good sign for South Carolina.
Tea leaves it is!

I don’t know how to interpret social media follows. Maybe it means the other players haven’t voiced any objections to the coach.

Not sure what exactly is happening with Gianna Kneepkens. But, last night Texas' Kyla Oldacre started following her on Instagram, and vice versa. This was after I had noticed a couple of days ago that a couple of South Carolina post players had started following her on IG, and vice versa.

Just a few minutes ago, all 3 of the Texas assistant coaches (Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton, Elena Lovato, and Blair Schaefer) started following Gianna on Instagram. That is very unusual timing if her official visit to Texas was like 2 weeks ago.

Maybe they are trying to cover all the bases...lol...

Anything is possible.

If Texas had conceded Kneepkens because of the addition of Ashton Judd, I doubt all the assistant coaches would start following her on Instagram a day after Ashton Judd committed to Texas; their pattern has been to follow transfers on social media early in the process, not this late in the process. Perhaps the reports of when Kneepkens took her official visit to Texas was inaccurate and she is barely making her visit now. I think most were expecting/predicting Kneekpkens would make her choice known after her "final" visit to UCLA last week.

Last week, recent grads and those about to graduate entered their names in the portal. So why not members of the Class of 2016?!

My wife went to Central CT on a basketball scholly. She only used 2 years then dropped out. I'm gonna tell her to jump in the portal - she's 75 years old now. Maybe somebody will take her on just for the novelty! Get some of that "Granny" NIL money!! Plus she said she could finally get some top notch medical coverage. ;)

lol the drama continues. At this point I give up. No one knows or can infer anything.

Those 2 would fill up UConn’s 14 roster spots and send chills through the rest of WBB….:)
We all know about Serah Williams (I should hope so!) And we all know
a lot about Kayleigh Heckel, USC Trojan freshman. But did you know
that Kayleigh's nickname is "K9"? I think that goes nice with "KK", don't
you think? Also, her Southern CAL Bio page reports that "Sue Bird is
her biggest sports hero".... Nice to know that ALSO... don't you think?
Mom and Dad went to school at St. John's. Home is Port Chester, N.Y.
Will UCONN get ONE or BOTH?? See Forego's Blog post about the
report from Carl Adamec's article in the CT POST (above). K9 is 5'9".

Carl Adamec article in CT Post verifies Serah and Kayleigh are visiting today.
Serah I can understand, with a one year effort benefitting both her and UConn. Kayleigh not so sure since she would be a three year deal, but she was with KK and Kelis at Dawg camp, so there may be some chemistry there.

Kelis was not at Dawg camp

I have the same concern about K9. If she’d come as a freshman she’d be sure to be accepted by the others. But now, won’t she seem like an interloper? Maybe she can overcome that beginning, especially if she already has a bond with KK and Kelis. The last time Geno took a multi year transfer was Evina and she worked out really well. Does Kayleigh have the winning personality that would take? I hope so. Dorka ended up staying for a second year because of the accident of the Covid extension, but she was a typical one year grad transfer initially.

True if that's her main motivation. Probably every kid who gets recruited to UConn thinks they're good enough to make an 8 man rotation. Until they're not. So at least they have unlimited options now just in case.
If both of them come, it will not be a rotation of 8. If Audrey and Morgan were totally healthy last season, it wouldn’t have been last season either.

While you do that, I will continue "reading between the lines" . . . :D
Or… reading between the lions?
