What's going on with her physically? I read in another thread that injury problems have held her back.
She's had a couple of ankle injuries. I'm not sure if that's what has held her back or not but she adds height and depth to Vandy. Her size will help going up against bigs like Kyla Oldacre and Kate Koval if 6-2 Sacha Washington is too undersized for certain matchups.

Pretty sad situation if true. I don't blame Dawn at all for moving forward but gotta feel for Milaysia who was a fan favorite at South Carolina and seemed to love playing there.

Skim Milkey normally doesn’t post something unless he feels there is some merit. However I still take these type of stories with a grain of salt. Further you could swap a lot of names and colleges in this story. One story on M Okot is she had an agreement with Mississippi State and an agent got in contact with her family and convinced her to enter the portal unless she got substantially more money.

Okot is on a student visa, right?

Taking NIL would be illegal, I believe.

I would be surprised if she doesn’t choose ND, given their need for players. She must have not asked her ex-LuHi teammate Koval, for the ND tea
Possibly, but she would fit in unbelievably well at Vandy. She'd be their starting PG the next 3 years and Vandy would be well positioned to make a deep tournament run in each season.

Skim posted this on the paid account. Someone took a screenshot shot and shared it. Used it as their info. So skim had to prove it was their post

Someone can probably figure out a way to do better with Del Rosario than LSU did, IMO.
Maybe, but it's not likely to be an SEC team. Every team in the SEC had a chance to bring her in (or, in LSU's case, retain her). Only one bit and wound up in a one-team bidding war for her services (an unbelievably shortsighted move by Vanderbilt).

Gotcha. I see now the X screenshot was from Burner Ball and obviously should not have been shared publicly without permission. I don’t understand why people do that.

Isn’t today the last day to declare for the portal? How does that work if someone still wants out after today?

Tell all your business…and the business of others is the new thing. I don’t get it. My daughter sent me a link to join a group so she would know where I was by tracking my phone. lol. Um…no. DENIED.

Yes. After today, players can still enter the portal if they complete their undergraduate degree prior to the start of a new academic year, and still have eligibility. In addition, I believe there is an exception if a HC leaves prior to the season. Other than that, as of today, the portal is closed to new additions.

My understanding was that athletes could enter the portal, after the deadline, but would be required to sit out the season.

The portal does not close. Today is the last day to enter and be immediately eligible to play. If you enter after today and aren't a grad student or the coach is still there, the player has to sit out a year. Of course, they can always apply for a waiver.

In the convoluted world of the NCAA, Occam's Razor has a very dull blade. “Complexities are preferred to simplicity.”

A waiver would almost certainly be approved because the NCAA has no teeth to their rules anymore and they don't want another lawsuit.

I'm old school, sit out a year unless you have completed your degree or your coach leaves. Now to shake my fist at a cloud.

No waiver was granted to Talaysia Cooper when she transferred from SCar to UTenn after the cutoff and she had to sit out last year.

Good point,
though that decision was made 2 years ago, which is centuries ago in the current era?
