Was really hoping this wouldn't happen but there's been a lot of speculation surrounding her leaving after this year. I wouldn't be surprised if she's shopping for a payday as she wasn't highly recruited out of HS and will now command a high price tag for her next program. Man what a bummer for Shea and Vandy.

One reason I don’t like the portal being open right now is that it seems a little unfair to players that are on teams that are still playing games. 16 teams left in the ncaa tournament and some teams left in other postseason tournaments. There are definitely some players on those teams that want to go into the portal. And they have to stand by and watch other players potentially go where they wanted to go.

It’s pretty unfair.

Yep. There has been no confirmation from Pierre or Vanderbilt, which is somewhat odd. If you are actually entering the portal all you have to do is say so, and the university does the paperwork and makes the official entry.

May I ask where you heard such speculation? I haven't heard a word, and I'm pretty dialed in to the program. Not saying it isn't true, but I simply have not heard it.

The reason I chafe with respect to Lattimore is that I'm familiar with the people who advise her and these actions contradict what they promote as part of their Sister's Keeper brand. Both she and Day-Wilson have been touted as success stories coming out of the inner city of Toronto. What success has she accomplished through bouncing around schools? The problem is that the people they tell this to won't know the full story and fall for it. :mad:

I know it popular to diss the gals that transfer a lot (and I'm not saying you're do that!) but I sort of feel a bit sorry for some of them in never fitting in or finding a group and having that "team".

Yeah, but can we really include Syracuse when she never attended the school?
 
So now I'm on pins and needles. Former NAU coach Loree Payne is moving to Santa Clara. The Jacks lose three five-year starters and returning or rising seniors Sophie Glancy from Idaho and Taylor Feldman from Northern California are key to next season. I'm wondering if both will follow coach Payne to Santa Clara.

In most cases, I'd agree, but in Lattimore's case I don't. This has been a pattern since high school with her and Day-Wilson, starting with their transfer to Royal Crown (which had never existed until then) when Aaliyah Edwards and Crestwood's 2020 class graduated.

Lots of speculation on Reddit/Twitter. Her parents used to post on Reddit praising Shea and Vandy and stopped midway through the season. Most significant is that there were reports of a big name SEC forward planning to enter the portal after the season was done which checks out now.

I mean, she's not a child or teenager. She has to be at least 22 years old now. She's an adult.
