Good kid, good family, his Dad is the all-time leading receiver in Southern Connecticut State University history, who was in NFL camps with the Giants, Patriots, and Chiefs for a few years.

Chris was a four-sport athlete at Crosby HS, playing QB for the Bulldogs. He played two games at QB for SCSU before moving to WR and rewriting the history books. The most impressive part is that in Ortiz’s four years at SCSU, he was the lead receiver for a different starting QB each year.
