2025 HoopGurlz Rankings - over half have committed

Lena Bilic, who played with Olivia Vukosa at last summer's U7 World Championship, signs for UCLA.

Playing in Croatia, she wasn't part of the HoopGurlz Rankings, but I'm sure that those who followed the last U17 World Championship will be interested by this news.

Excellent pick up. In about 2 years she could be one of if not their best player(s) depending on who else they get.

42 Lauren Hurst commits to Tennessee. They now have 5 of the top 100 recruits.

And then there were four ...

1 Aaliyah Chavez
4 Agot Makeer
17 Jaliya Davis
29 Keeley Parks

This is a great pick up for Kansas. One of my favorite players from the Geico games this summer.

The signing period is over right? So Chavez is waiting for the spring?

With Tennessee getting a 5th commit, here are the latest very unofficial and unscientific rankings of teams with at least 3 recruits, just using a simple average of rankings in parentheses.

LSU - 6, 12, 13, 30 (15)
Kansas - 17, 29, 44 (30)
Tennessee - 11, 14, 32, 42, 56 (31)
Stanford - 9, 16, 31, 84 (35)
North Carolina - 20, 23, 76 (40)
Washington - 21, 68, 71 (53)
Illinois - 25, 40, 61, 98 (56)
Mississippi State - 38, 39, 95 (53)
Iowa - 18, 70, 85 (57)
Miami - 36, 54, 79, 93 (58)
Michigan - 37, 65, 99 (66)
Alabama - 51, 55, 94, 97 (74)
Creighton - 69, 82, 91 (81)

Not crazy about the methodology. For example: Kansas has an average of30. Tennessee’s top 3 average 22.5.so, Tennessee is better. But, when you average in their other two recruits, they fall to 31. In affect, they are being penalized for having a large class of top 60 recruits.

I would divide the total recruit by 4.75 which is 1/4th of a 4 year career

Haven’t had a chance to put this year into my old formula.
But it was something along the lines of (200-rank)^2 for each person, summed for each school.
