I think this is the first time we’ve seen a college coach fired by a GM and not the school President or AD. Another sign of these crazy times.

That’s all college sports are anymore. A 1 yr contract with a mutual option to renew. Now, you’re a portal qb looking for a shot at sundays. Name a better program to help you grow.

Yes but why bother as a freshman if you will never have a chance with the 1 year coach.

How many impact freshman are they going to get this year, meaning the million $ plus types of freshman that will start.

A freshman will come in, and maybe impress Reich in practice but by the next season they will have to re-prove themselves with an unknown new coach where they might not be involved for a variety of reasons like scheme, etc.

I know coaching changes happen all the time but how often is it pre-planned without a replacement named in advance.

Seems an odd choice.

He was put on administrative leave at the end of March. Makes me think it wasn't just for his terrible performance.
