2025-26 Coaching Carousel

If Mora and Millen love each other so much, how about Millen as the CSU OC and Sammis stays here with a nice big raise!!! Everybody wins.

If Sammis is going with Mora it will be before the bowl game. Also if a new head coach gets hired it will in all likelihood be before the bowl game and players can then enter the portal once the new coach is hired (5 days after being hired).

As much as Mora is a West Coast guy, Sammis is to the East Coast. He's born, raised, and lived most of his life east of the App mountains. I dont see him going that far west for the same position at a worse football situation for probably the same amount of money.

I heard he who shall not be named flew into colorado from southern california. not sure if true. perhaps trying to recruit Neuheisel

According to BY in the know that was not true. Also Mora did not seek the Washington State head coaching job last year. No way Mora the honest and honorable man was doing these things. Given what I know now, I believe both are true.
 
Nueheisel will likely stay at UCLA unless new coach doesn’t want him. Sammis seems to at the very least have successful Olines.

My guess is Chesney will keep his OC with him. OC/QB coach at JMU for 2 years, OC/QB coach at Holy Cross for 1 year and QB coach for 1 year. Spent 4 seasons at Florida including asst QB coach, 1 year at Miss St.

He's had 2 really good years, but the 8 before that were mixed.

Also, a Mormon Tongan in Pennsyltucky?

We've gotten so used to schools throwing their coach overboard for the slightest reason, kinda forgot that not every school wants (or can afford) to pay a buyout.

On the surface, less of a fit in Pennsyltucky than Brian Kelly was in Red Stick. How many coaches has Penn State swung and missed on to now reach out to Sitake?

UConn has to wait for a series of dominoes to fall before the top candidates emerge. I am sure Benedict is getting lots of “thanks for checking in. I will get back to you” answers as the coaching hires progress. Some dominoes remove options while other add to the list. Things can happen quickly when a few jobs are filled (Penn St being at the top of the northeast list). I still like Terry Smith, but understand the desire to have a more prominent hire.

Are more coaches playing musical chairs than usual this year? Feels like an all-time high. Or maybe it's just that I'm paying more attention because of our own situation.
