It would be nice to see you and @Exit 4 put your heads together and somehow implement that spreadsheet format, which may take up a lot less bandwidth potentially?

just checked 24/7 again he’s plummeted all the way down to 75. These recruiting websites are so full of it’s coming out of their ears.

Here is more nonsense from them. If you go to our list of recruits Harper Holloman is listed with no stars are rating, but if you click his profile he is a 3-star 85 rating.

Same thing with deron, nothing on our list but click on his profile and it says 84 3star. This class should easily be 10 spots higher than 86.

This is one case where it’s not on 247, but one of the other sites that is factored into the composite rankings not having a ranking assigned to the players mentioned.

Rankings are subjective. Let’s see what he brings to UConn and everyone will forget about a useless ranking

Nothing is happening and these things are not moving drastically. You are not understanding what the ratings are and confusing the numbers. Cole Welliver is ranked 52 in the class calculator with an 86.86 score, not a 75 in the class calculator with an 85 score like you are saying. The two numbers are different because the one used to rank class is the composite score which is pulling rankings from every ranking site and averaging them. The 75 ranking is 247s score which is solely projecting his NFL prospects. He is not jumping around like crazy, there are just two different numbers and understanding the meaning is very helpful.

As far as Deron, 247 has him as a three star, but all the other ratings have him much lower or have not even rated him, thus the no stars for the class calculator and the 3 stars on the 247 NFL projection.
 
With Harper Holloman being assigned a 247 Composite rating of 84 three-stars UConn's 2024 recruiting class jumps to 82nd and is now ahead of previously 79th ranked UMass.

How could UMass possibly deceive enough good players to rank ahead of us early or late?

The 247 reporter has zero to do with the team rankings. It is simply a mathematical formula that averages all the rankings of all the services. If you notice last year, UMass was ranked like 125 in the Team Rankings even though 247 had them ranked mid 60s.

Given that, the rankings that teams are now is most likely going to be nowhere near where they end up in the final rankings.
 
We've joked about "commitable offers" - but its really a thing and really how the process works. Programs offer kids to put them on their radar and show respect.....but they cannot possible honor all the offers and so often when the offer is made the kid is told where they are on the depth chart for that offer.

Yup… and “kids”/market will adjust and use programs as placeholders. Program/staff resources are needed to continue to recruits even “committed” kids 24/7/365.
