2024 NBA re-draft

Sam Vecenie at The Athletic did a 2024 re-draft, with Castle at #1 and Clingan at #5. The rest of the top 5 had Risacher, McCain, and Sheppard.

A few of the lines about Castle:
If you made me bet right now on one player reaching any sort of All-Star ceiling from the class, it would be him.

His basketball IQ is very high, and even if the jumper doesn’t come along, I’d bet on him being the kind of non-shooter who impacts a playoff series.

Clingan:
Clingan gobbles rebounds and is incredibly sharp positionally. He held opponents to just a 49.5 percent mark around the rim on shots that he contested. He has a chance to be an All-Defense-caliber center, especially given the Blazers’ decisions to focus on the defensive end this offseason.

Would Zaccharie Risacher still go No. 1 in a 2024 NBA re-draft?

Were there any future All-Stars in the 2024 draft class? Whose stock has risen and dropped the most after their rookie years.

Will be interesting to see what the Blazers do with Clingan and Yang Hansen. I know there is no good basketball reason to run a twin tower offense but I would tune in for that every single night.

The NBA is slowly moving back towards that. But I don’t see either Clingan or Yang having the mobility to play the 4 in ways we usually see with AD, Mobley, JJJ, etc. to be able to have two bigs out there
