So likely Memphis, Michigan St, and then 1 of Auburn/UNC/Iowa St.

I think Michigan St is underrated heading into the year (they're giving me UConn 22->23 vibes where the decent upperclassmen have been cleared out for the talented underclassmen who also now have a bit of experience). That'll be a tough one.

And then if we win both pretty much guaranteed a top 10 matchup.

Excellent group of teams. BTW- With all of the tragedy and heartbreak from the wildfire damage to the Island in the Lahaina community. Glad that CBB/Maui Jim have been proactive in returning to Lahaina for the Invitational Tournament in 2024. A beautiful place-welcoming and kind people.

Aloha spirit is going to bring Lahaina back.

Assuming that’s the bracket, it’s too bad that there’s 4 top ten preseason teams in the field and 3 are on the other side of the bracket.
Kind of with you on this. They really stacked the other side. I was hoping to get two top 10 games out of this one.

ISU or Auburn could have to run 3 top 10 teams to win it as a possibility.

MSU getting favoritism as usual w/ the first round matchups. ISU and Auburn should not have to play each other. But glad we get to kick their butts in the second round as payback for 2022.

That, and Colorado is by far the lowest ranked team in Maui based on preseason polls. Which, of course, could mean nothing.

yea agreed, while l'm looking forward to the matchup it seems weird that they would make two 10 top teams play right off the bat in the opening round. Colorado lost their entire starting 5 including 3 NBA guys, probably should have made Iowa State/Auburn play one of MSU/Colorado in the opening round to balance things out with the other opening round matchups.

That's what you get when you're the best team.
Prufreading error. I picked the wrong word to omit.
You need a little more proofreading. ;)

Last season was Penny's worst defensive team, but aside from Nick Jourdain, it's a brand new team:

‘24: #92 recruit Jared Harris, 6'2 160
‘24 return: Nick Jourdain (6.5p, 4r, 1b, 40 3P%)
‘24 transfers:
  • Moussa Cisse 7’1 216 GR from Ole Miss, 4.5p, 4.6r, 1.4b, 17.5 mpg
  • PJ Haggerty 6’3 195 SO from Memphis, 21.2p, 5.5r, 3.8a, 1.9s, 10 FTA!!! 29 3P%
  • Tyrese Hunter 6’0 175 SR from Texas, 11p, 3r, 4a, 1.3s, 34 3P%, 72 FT%
  • Colby Rogers 6’5 190 GR from Wichita State, 16.4p, 41 3P%, 83 FT%
  • Dain Dainja 6’9 270 SR from Illinois, 6.1p, 3r, 0.6b, 11 mpg

Penny has shown an ability to devolve teams as the season progresses. This is one we should win if we’re any good.

4-0 against the B1G since Michigan State, right? All last season.

This just got me so hyped for your scouting reports. I need the season to start yesterday.
