I'm looking forward to the season. I'm especially excited that they brought in Elvis, he was my favorite opposing team player. Games should be fun, Hartford will score but also concede a few. This site has a pretty comprehensive USL season preview, unfortunately they pick HA DFL.

Another year, another HA thread. A new mascot is set to debut. I hope it's not a stupid green whale.

Perhaps Howie the Hawk will paint himself green leave his now-DIII UHart behind to head over to Colt Park

Just remember, mascots are for the kids, not the grown-ups.

I think a good name for the mascot would be Jacques, the Athletic Supporter.

I suggested "Dillon" since Trinity Health decided to come in and hijack the name of the stadium.

The mascot's name is Dillon and looks a bit like Wally.

Dillon is the club's wacky, fluffy, and friendly take on the Glawackus, an animal of legend in Connecticut, with the only sighting on record occurring in the 1930s. His fur is equal parts green and blue including an all-green mustache. Dillon's head is topped with soccer ball antennas due to his love of the beautiful game.

He came out better than I thought.

UConn Hoop, Liverpool, UConn Hockey and Hartford Athletic; all taking vicious beatings in a 30 hour period. Good thing I love sports so much.

Rough start to the season. One of our best players gets stretchered off the pitch. Opening game at home on Saturday! Friday nice, Sunday nice; Saturday cold and wet.

Not the best start so far. But they did win their Cup game and get to go to Foxboro and play the Revs on April 25th. I think I'll go and cheer for the Green and Blue. And tell Arena he sucks if I get the chance.

FWIW, Athletic gave the Revs a game but lost 2-1.
