Top 20 G5 in attendance by league:
MW: 7
AAC: 6
SB: 5
Indy: 2

Not a single CUSA or MAC school made the list.

I have felt for about the past decade that CUSA and the MAC should be FCS leagues. People don't go to their games, and the schools are buried in the pecking order. I really believe there should be three subdivisions in football:

1-A: P4, ND, OSU/WSU/MW, AAC, Sun Belt, UConn
1-AA: MAC, CUSA, Big Sky, CAA, MVFC, UAC, Southern, SWAC
1-AAA: Ivy, Patriot, Pioneer, MEAC, Big South-OVC, NEC, Southland

There would be less bad games in 1-A and 1-AA, and 1-AA would be predominantly no or low-scholarship.

The MAC was originally 1AA but got reclassified shortly after 1AA was created. Leagues and teams are trying to move up, not down.
