2023-24 Non Conference announed

No one has a big enough wrist that they couldn't spell out University of South Carolina? Notre Dame and South Carolina are the two big biggies for me. To bad we couldn't smash LSU or Duke in the face in the regular season.

Circle January 27 on the calendar, Notre Dame at home.

I hope they play it at Gampel although I`m guessing that it will be scheduled for XL.

That is probably the toughest non-conference matchup, even though it is home. (Not counting Cayman Islands, I do not know who we will draw there.) South Carolina and Texas, both on the road, will be interesting.

Other than Maryland, all the big games are on the weekend.

I see the Exhibition game is at the XL again. I would like to see Notre Dame and Maryland at the XL since the ones with only XL tickets will only have 6 games like LY. I think Ball State should be at Gampel since it will be Nikas home game and would like Hana to see how great it is to play there.

So, y'all are plying UT. Wait a minute. Are y'all playing Texas or Tennessee?

UConn alum Tamika Williams-Jeter is coaching Dayton & probably the reason for scheduling the game.
And probably because they're traveling to Europe & the Caymans, it's nice to see the Huskies are staying closer to home this year by not scheduling any games beyond the Central time zone.

Ball State will be @ Gampel. The Wolf Pack have a home game at the XL Center that night.

The Notre Dame game is definitely @ Gampel. The CT Ice Hockey Tournament is at the XL Center on 1/27 with UConn, Quinnipiac, Yale & Sacred Heart.

Texas. The Lady Vols are not on our schedule this year. We travel to Texas this year in return for them coming to Gampel last year.

This is an excellent non-conference schedule. I like the opponents and the spacing between games. The game in Toronto on the 20th of December gives the players plenty of time to get home and spend plenty of quality time with their families BEFORE Christmas. I wonder how soon after their return from the holiday break they will play their first conference game?

Sometimes I hope that Geno never schedules them again, but I don't think that will happen. Too much money on the line for both sides and TV.

Serge, I agree with you, but unfortunately, we're a minority on that subject. :( After lying dormant for over ten years, it was the powers that be at ESPN that "stringently" urged that this series be resumed.

So, if ESPN “stringently” urges this, UCONN shoul stringently urge a spot in the ACC/SEC conference families

Visitingcock....you know as well as I do that MONEY TALKS, and BS walks. I think the vice president at ESPN at the time was "Lola."

I don't know if she's still there, but you remember the song about "Lola", right? It will happen if she wants it to. ;)

Our OOC schedule is not complete yet, but it’s looking more like our 22 schedule (#1) than Last year. Tennessee twice and LSU once in conference.
Rooting for SC to win all three, hope that SC actually demolishes them in your match ups.

Two outta three are road games. All should be in packed houses. Hopefully, the preseason neutral site games vs Notre Dame, Utah and UNC will prepare our young talent for the conference road.
