UConn field hockey has had a solid start to the 2022 season, currently with a 6-1 record. The one game they lost was to No. 8 Rutgers on the road, a 1-0 loss in overtime. On the other hand, UConn field hockey has a number of road wins against ranked teams, including at the time No. 7 Harvard, No. 24 Delaware, No. 14 Old Dominion, and No. 16 William & Mary. So far it seems like a pretty good turnaround from last season.

Neglected to mention that UConn Field Hockey was ranked No. 11 in the the most recent poll that came out after last weekend after their victory over Delaware. The wins over Old Dominion and William & Mary were on Friday, and today (Sunday).

The latest edition of the field hockey poll came out today, and UConn is now up to No. 9 in the poll. UConn still has a number of games to play against teams that are currently ranked in the poll, including No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Maryland, No. 7 Princeton, No. 16 Liberty, No. 18 Boston College, and No. 24 Temple.
