2022 Bracketology: UConn a 5 Seed

I know that a 2022 bracket doesn’t mean much right now, but Lunardi has us projected as a 5 seed in the Midwest, playing the winner of Syracuse/Colorado St. Honestly, I’d take that. This is also an indication that we could be a preseason top 25 team. I think we should be. Of course I want a title, but if we’re a top 25 team who earns a 5 seed and makes the Sweet 16, I’d consider next season a success. Hopefully another strong recruiting haul will lead to some top 10 seasons again before long.

I find it bizarre how Lunardi puts Creighton in the field, but Seton Hall (with far more proven talent) is among the Next 4 out.

Creighton has a terrific recruiting class coming in, but unless McDermott is a wizard the Blue Jays look to be rebuilding.

i think the 4 locks are nova, uconn, hall, and xavier. not sure who the 5th will be but hopefully someone else separates themselves from the pack. BE should have 5 or 6 teams in every year.

I expect the 22-23 season to be the year for a deep run in the tournament, assuming Hawkins stays 2 years. Sweet 16 this coming year would be nice.
