Agreed. However, I really believe the pandemic and some injuries to the pitching staff helped to limit the development of some of the lesser used pitchers this season.

That explains it. He had at least a chance on 3 catches that he pulled up IMO

That was the idea when in the fall and the preseason when there was talk by the coaching staff of making Wurster a starter. MLB scouts really look for the velocity, especially from bullpen guys, and that could push Wurster down the draft list.

I agree. We’ve had a decent stretch of closers getting drafted (Ruotolo, Russell, Wallace), but they all threw in the mid-90s.
