With the Ivies having cancelled all fall sports, the ECAC is trying to come up with a schedule that can squeeze in a full season of league play beginning in January, so anything after the start of the new year wouldn't fit. Yale would undoubtedly be out under that scenario as they won't even practice as a team until the holiday season. QU may be able to practice earlier, so they might be open to a holiday season tournament if they have no conflicts. However, that might not work for UConn or SHU, who probably have their own rescheduling nightmares to address. With just a one year history this tournament is a nice-to-have instead of a must-have and I'll bet it just works better for all parties to take it off the table for this year and commit to restart when we have a normal college schedule.
