I like Young's tape more than some other OLs Randy 2.0 has brought in. Others might be taller and carry more weight, but they didn't seem to have the tenacity, grit and overall effectiveness this kid appears to possess. Looks like the kind of kid that gives others fits while playing for Navy or Army.

Honestly, don't think we'd have offered if we didn't see those traits in him... We're clearly moving fwd in terms of the kinds of recruits we're bringing in... his current lack of size stands out, but there's gotta be something we saw that tells us that he's going to provide a lot more for us in time...
Yes, that’s my point. He must be a good football player as opposed to a fast athlete.

Slow down boneyard! Undersize, not highly recruited, and from Georgia he will not go under the radar.
Needs to put on fifty pounds of muscle to play D1 football. Looks like a redshirt If you ask me.
Of course he's a redshirt, but so are 90+% of offensive line recruits at FBS schools. Even the ones that come in with size usually lack D-I muscle and must adjust to the quickness and more advanced techniques of the defensive linemen.

Don’t you dare get excited...been down this road 9 times. Time for Kids to perform. ;)
We heard this same hype about Robert Holmes a few years ago.

RE has a history of taking undersized lineman and making them really good. We have had this discussion ad infinitum on this board. If he is athletic and has good hip turn, RE will work with him. If the kid puts in the effort on his end, it will work out well.

Kendall Reyes comes to mind. 6'3" and 210 pounds in high school. Played wide receiver and linebacker until his senior year when he became a defensive end. At UConn he grew to 6'4" and 299 pounds. Hard to imagine how good our staff was at evaluating talent and potential. Let's hope it continues with Remon Yound and the rest of the past two recruiting classes.
