Turned down Harvard and Yale for UConn? I suppose the future of the program is bright.

Heard a comment dismissing our Football facility through the last weeks.

Silly. I doubt the other 11 AAC are significantly better than ours. I actually have seen Temple’s. It’s laughably not comparable. And it’s Lucky those guys are football athletes. It’s the bad side of Broad Street north of City Center.

“His first offer came in mid-February when William and Mary offered. The Tribe coaching staff saw him at the recruit757 Senior Showcase. Offers then followed from Youngstown State, Penn, ODU, Temple, Syracuse, Charlotte, Wofford, Appalachian State, Army, Richmond, UConn, Harvard, Yale, the Citadel and Georgetown.”

16 offers. Syracuse + Temple. 4 other FBS. 3 Ivy & Georgetown

Read a fun comment about Ivy League from the FCS Blog.

Turns out “Ivy League” was a dismissive term by supporters of Fordham. When Fordham was a top 3 Program (early 30s). Fordham looked down their noses at the teams from that conference - they sucked at Football and bragged too much about their academics.

Wow....I'll take it. Good news, but amazed he turned down Harvard/Yale/Penn for us. As much as I love the Huskies, I would have to tell my son to take those schools (unless $ were tight and the Ivys did not offer aid). Even Georgetown is a huge gap to UConn.
