Any word on where we with this kid recruiting wise? I haven’t heard much, except for what’s on 24/7. And I’m pretty sick of losing out on “Blue Chips” talent that play in our State.

If there was anything on him it would have been posted here.

I see you’re new here, so in case you didn’t know there’s a search function too where you can filter to titles only.

Welcome to the Bone-Yard. Be thick skinned. We all are here for UCONN, but it does get testy, from time to time.

Thank u, and it’s all good. Not afraid of a little verbal judo. But I’m Here to keep tabs on my guys. And this seems the only place where some ppl kno what’s going on.

I see that Tabor is running with the same AAU team as Kofi, Lecque and Kareem Reid. Seeing this makes me dream of a package deal of any combo of 2.

Nate has an odd IG post....
The comments lead me to believe he has gotten himself in trouble.

Let’s try this

Can confirm he got arrested a few days ago. Not exactly sure what he did however.

I saw him play vs Trumbull in state playoffs and was so unimpressed. Played Selfish and nowhere close to the athleticism you’d expect from a D1 prospect let alone a high level D1 player.

Hes playing ball now for Legacy Early College a high school in South Carolina

30. (32) Legacy Early College (Greenville, S.C.) 34-5
Key Players:
PG Jacobi Wright 6-1 2021, SG Ray’Shon Harrison 6-3 2020, PF Perry Smith Jr. 6-8 2022.
Why This Ranking: Another strong independent club is the Lions, which won the USA National Prep Tournament it hosted to close their season and has a demanding enough schedule and enough talent to warrant this spot. Coach B.J. Jackson stamps Wright as a power five conference point guard who will only get better as the season wears on. Harrison didn’t start last season, but has tons of ability and the coaching staff labels him the Lions’ best all-around player. Smith also got plenty of experience last season, and is the key inside. He could be in line for a break out season and is complimented by Tyrek Priestley (6-9, 2021). If this unit can rebound and run, the Lions should be roaring by January.
The Skinny: Jackson did lose a lot of firepower, namely 29 ppg, with the graduation of forward Jalyn McCreary and center Rodney Howard, but this unit is stronger on the perimeter and a terrific shooting team. Transfer Ike Cornish (6-6, 2021) is another big-time perimeter scorer and likely a Top 100 player when it’s all said and done. Another huge addition who will make the guards even more dangerous is Nate Tabor (6-5, 2020), who played at Sacred Heart (Waterbury, Conn.) last season and was previously committed to St. John’s.

I saw that game as well. He got completely outplayed by Chris Brown from Trumbull who actually is attending Uconn on a baseball scholarship this year

Bad advice
Not sure if it's that simple. From what I've heard his timeline goes like this: Got expelled from Sacred Heart last year. Went to Christ the King, got expelled for beating up a kid and posting it to social media. Then got rejected from two other schools (as he should have been) and now is playing at the aforementioned school in South Carolina. Not just bad advice, as something is seriously wrong with him. Tough to watch honestly.

Well I grew up in Waterbury and men from there are pretty violent.
Calhoun has a passage on Edmund Saunders in his book discussing how violent he was in practice and how he could never get him to control his temper.

Maybe Nate keeps it a little too real

Looks like he deleted hit IG

What’s up with St. John’s admissions? Dont they look into these kids backgrounds before they offer/allow them to commit? Within the last few years Tabor, Manuel, Zach Brown were all committed to go there while eveyone else was apprehensive to touch them.

welcome to the boneyard. keep it light and fun. do not be thin skinned!

Sad story, I don't even know where he ends up at this point. Can't seem to get out of his own way.
Can't confirm this via any other source, but Verbal Commits has Nate Tabor w/ a LOI and committing to Norfolk State next season:

This website is usually on point with keeping commitment statuses up to date. Hope it's the case as Norfolk State will again be one of the top teams in the MEAC.

He was supposed to play there this year I thought. He was class of 2020 and signed an NLI last summer. Not sure what happened

Yeah, there's an interview on YouTube that's over a year old with NSU's coach discussing Tabor's commitment to Norfolk State. Wonder where he is these days. Juco?
