Imagine this lineup.....

Gilbert--------Gaffney------Adams
(Thomas)-----Cole----------Whaley
Bouknight----Polley--------Wilson
Akok----------Springs
Carlton-------(Omoruyi)

This is a top 25 team for sure and maybe even more....Let's just hope for Thomas and either Omoruyi or Cardwell!!!

Whaley is our new backup 2-guard? I'll ride with that

Some definite weirdness there.

If Gilbert is back he probably starts at PG. I doubt he will be back. I envision a lot of positional flexibility

PG: Cole, Gaffney, Adams
SG: [Thomas], Bouknight, Gaffney, Adams
SF: Wilson, Bouknight, [new wing], Adams, Polley,
PF: Akok, Polley, Springs, Whaley
C: Carlton, [new center], Springs, Whaley

Lots of unknowns. How good is Bouk? Does Wilson make a jump? Does Polley? Sometimes we overrate incoming freshmen. If we landed Cam, and Bouk is a stud, Bouk likely starts at the 3. If Wilson however becomes a stud, who knows? And it's possibly Polley forces his way onto the court despite Akok being the 4. He will be a senior.

That team is good no matter who you plug into those three spots. It will be deep and experienced.

It makes perfect sense in a way. That explains his struggles in the post. Not many shooting guards would be successful there.

Yea, that's why he bulked up. To play SG.
