Why wouldn’t you make polley and akok 0 minutes?

I could use them they were rusty the first game back but since then they have contributed greatly, Polley has gotten into a shooting groove.

2020 AAC Finals

5 Uconn vs 2 Houston

Uconn wins 68-64, Bouknight 18pts, Josh Carlton yes Josh Carlton with 23pts 15 rebounds 5 blks, Akok 8 pts 5 rebs 5 blks, Vital 11 pts, Gilbert 15pts 8 assists. Uconn gets the Automatic bid.

Since it isn’t real, don’t give Scoe a hard time. He’s just working with what he’s got. Frankly, we all know we were better without them and the computers certainly do, so I’m not sure it matters too much.

But the computer also thinks Carlton is a beast and that Gilbert is somewhat of a star.

It’s funny what all that data will tell a sim, but the fact that it could tell that UConn had gone from a dog to quite possibly the best team in the conference is impressive.

I tried to give everybody 40 minutes each to increase my odds in the finals and it somehow gave Polley 11 minutes and Whaley 2 minutes, both came off the bench ill make game to game adjustments in the NCAA tourney.

I'm not sure being better was a consequence of not having those guys. I can say that Whaley may never have been given the chance he took full advantage of, but we are imminently better with those guys then without. We got better at the end of the year as a result of many other factors.

Gilbert is actually somewhat of a star. The coaching staff got forced into playing Bouk and Whaley more and in the process the floor opened up so Vital and Gilbert could play without forcing it. I really believe Gilbert had to be at the talent level of Allen Iverson to make this team look good the way it was with Bouk and Whaley on the bench. When we went to Gaffney, we also went to Bouk. Shortly after, Akok went down. Gilbert has gotten a bum rap. When you see him out there now, he’s a better player.

Thats true its such a damn shame, would love to have him back.

It has an awful lot to do with it. Having those guys playing off the bench would help us with what we know now, but Whaley and Bouk playing heavy minutes transformed this team.

I don’t think Al realized he wasn’t Iverson. I think he suddenly had people to pass to that could catch the ball and then make a solid effort at putting it in the hoop. When we were struggling, it was AG and CV against the world. There really wasn’t anyone to give the ball to and that made things much harder.

Thanks for the game Scoe
No way Carlton puts up those numbers vs Houston or does UConn get 10 blocks in that game
Bouk does not score with that consistency during the tournament - he will have one or 2 very good games and the rest mundane - just the way he flowed during the year - with Akok and Polley back he doesn't see as much floor time
But I do love the outcome of the tourney!!!

Are people really complaining about fan fiction accuracy.
Wait until they start ripping players' performance, and defending doing so because it's a message board and they're fans and have a right to do so.
And get Likes from others.

That's 75 points from the starting lineup.

There's a lot of comedic potential in a follow-up line, but I think I'll just leave that to others.

Otherwise, I like the decision to start a new thread, and the much-improved title.
