2019 Walk-On Tryouts...

The tryout consists of height/weight measurement, vertical jump, bench press max reps (185 lbs. / 225 lbs. as you prefer), and timing in the 40.

Position specific drills may be tested upon the coaches' request.<<

The several funny comments here about being too "out of shape" made me remember a guy in his 40s who was a walk on for FSU in the 1980s when Bobby Bowden was coach - no joke, this guy whose name I cannot find was an exercise fanatic and Bowden said he was in great physical shape - period.

If I recall correctly, some football players who were playing basketball with Donald encouraged him to ask the coaches to try out. I don’t know if this was an ad hoc tryout or part of the regular process. Either way, even then he looked the part.
