Yeah- there was a good amount of twitter interconnect with the staff and Miles post signing day. The staff needed to find a WO QB and Miles fit the bill well. Played at a competitive program that took football seriously. At UConn he has a chance to play an important role- helping the rest of this team develop over the next four to five years.Anyone see this one coming? Not much on any sites except on 247 which said he offers from Bryant and CCSU. Interest from Illinois and Louisville. Hope he is a diamond in the rough!
Miles Foerster is a 6-3 205lb QB attending St Thomas More School in Oakdale CT. He was also on campus back in February.

Foerster has been on UConn’s radar for a bit. He was on campus multiple time in 2018.
Here are his senior season highlights<<
Was he technically recruited? I know you run into trouble in hoops if a player who had been recruited and is then a walk-on.
Although it might only apply in the sports where you can give partial scholarships, hockey track and field baseball etc you can get need based aid and academic awards for sure . I think walk ons can get that as long as it is no more than they would qualify for as a “regular” student. That's only if you give him scholarship aid without counting it towards your 85. Anyone can come to college and play sports without being counted as long as he doesn't get aid. Where the issue is is when you bring people in on recruiting visits, say they are a walk on and then give them money without it counting as an athletic scholarship.
