I'll disagree based on some of my job experiences, but I am indeed no Chinese expert. In the end it is small cookies and if I am wrong I am wrong. Either way....7 year plan in the world of NOW in America is a tough pill to swallow.

This is encouraging on two fronts for me. First, landing at least one key recruit against tough P5 competition (and DB is critical). Second, Randy realizing that he has to bring in some experienced, veteran players who can help us win a few games now. Would love to see more JUCO and grad transfers in the next period.

For UConn football, we can all mutually hope a 5-year strategy proves successful.

In a decade+ working with Chinese companies and living in China and Asia for a decade, undoubtedly many longer-established companies and some more creative generally have longer-term focuses than many of U.S. America's quarterly-profit driven public and even privately-held companies. 50 years? Bu shi (nope). Several years a la the Chinese socialists (aka CCP) which has religiously followed its' 5-year plans since 1953, closer to reality.

Thanks for the education from the financial world! I was looking more from my military/strategic background which I guess I should have said earlier. 5 year plans are good to have, just in our culture they are changed every 6-9 months. Lol.
