Where did you notice this? Dorka was honored last year.I noticed the only ones honored at your Senior Day were Lou and Dorka. What happened to the class of 2019? Do you have no real Seniors?
incoming.Class of 2019 was Katie Lou Samuelson and Napheesa Collier.
Senior Day is next week. Do you have a time traveling DeLorean?I noticed the only ones honored at your Senior Day were Lou and Dorka. What happened to the class of 2019? Do you have no real Seniors?
The only academic senior is Aubrey but she has two more years of eligibility left. Tis what injuries do to you.I noticed the only ones honored at your Senior Day were Lou and Dorka. What happened to the class of 2019? Do you have no real Seniors?
Makurat played 2 years. But that was during the Covid seasons. Tough to be that far from home (Poland) during that time. AND Bueckers, Muhl and Fudd and come in. AND she could go play pro in Europe. Understandable. We had two. Anna Maukarat who I believe left for home/Europe after one year and Aubrey Griffin while technically a senior, is in fact a redshirt Junior.
Senior day hasn't happened yet. It is next Monday at the last home game vs. Xavier. Dorka was honored last year, and UConn only allows one senior ceremony per player. It will be all Lou this year, as Aubrey is the only remaining senior (red shirt) that would qualify for this ceremony.I noticed the only ones honored at your Senior Day were Lou and Dorka. In past years, only the players and managers who are seniors are honored at senior night.I’m confused… last was senior night? I thought it was the 27th
According to Dorka's biography on the uconnhuskies site, she was considered a Graduate Student for the 2021-22 season:Do we know with certainty that Lou will be honored on Senior Night? Technically, she is a graduate student, NOT a senior. She graduated from Fairfield. I think she should be honored for her contribution to this year's team, but it's not a certainty it will happen, is it?
Anna was signed as a freshman. She was not a transfer.Aubrey was a class of one. Anna transferred in, I believe

UConn women land Polish guard Anna Makurat
The UConn women’s basketball team got some positive recruiting news Tuesday night, as...www.darientimes.com
That is true. It was a weak recruiting year that has affected us quite a bit, and may well have led to Geno looking overseas and Anna after coming up short domestically. That was the year many of us thought we were odds on to get Boston, and at least a finalist for Haley Jones. After their decisions fairly late in the process the major prospects had mostly decided, the domestic options were mostly dry, and the foreign options including Anna were probably plan C, but the only viable one at that point.Aubrey was a class of one. I think Paige had also verbally committed. That is true. Anna was a crucial emergency type recruit in her first year and filled a needed role very well. That recruiting year really hurt. Aubrey wound up as good or probably better than her recruiting ranking, but it wasn't just what we missed out on it is also where they went. Those decisions by Boston and Jones greatly affected the balance of power of the top tier contenders.
We have had many great recruiting years where the reverse is true, but the 2019 class will wind up being perhaps the most disappointing in recent memory. We thought we had at least 1 of those top players, they could have easily been the players that got us over the top, and for fours years South Carolina and Stanford led by players we missed out on, have been right at the top, each with a championship.
