With the new schedule, which games will we win, and which will we lose? Here’s mine:

vs. Sacred Heart - W
vs. St. Joseph's - W
vs. Florida - W (Remember last time we played them at Gampel? Expect a close one but we win)
vs. Buffalo - W
vs. Xavier/Towson - W (Xavier would be a tough game but Towson is an easy win if it comes to that)
The third game of the Charleston Classic is hard to predict now
vs. Maine - W
vs. Iona - W
vs. Indiana - W
vs. St. Peter's - W
vs. UNH - W
vs. NJIT - W
@ Cincy - L
@ USF - L
vs. Tulane - W
vs. Wichita State - W
@ Villanova - L (Expect a much better game than last year's game against Nova)
@ Houston - L
vs. Tulsa - W
vs. Temple - W
@ Memphis - L
@ Tulsa - L (I don't remember winning at all at Tulsa)
vs. Cincy - W (Close one)
@ SMU - W
vs. Memphis - W (Very close one. Hurley outcoaches Penny)
@ Temple - L
vs. USF - W
vs. UCF - W
@ ECU - W
vs. Houston - W
@ Tulane - W
Overall: 23-7
I think we got a much easier schedule with some tough opponents like Florida, Memphis, Villanova, and Cincinnati. Expect closer games against USF, Temple, Houston, and Wichita State. Let me know some of your opinions below I would love to see other's predictions.

I just count up how many they "realistically" could lose and assume they will lose that many. They will win some of them, but they will lose a few that they have no business losing as well. That thought process yields 13 or 14 losses, because I have no idea if Indiana is supposed to be any good.

Prediction: 17-14

I say 19 or 20 games. If we win 23 or more before the AAC Tournament I will buy you a UConn t-shirt. Mark it down and remind me in March if it happens. I'll be so giddy to win at least 23 that the $20 won't mean a thing.

16-14. I'd like to see better, but just topping .500 will be a nice change. I hope to stand happily corrected by March though.

If we get 24, I propose we all have waffles and post pictures of said waffles.

Everyone who has posted a prediction in win-loss format has only accounted for 30 games. There are 31 games on the schedule. Come on people!

15 should win games. I can see them winning 5 competitive games

We have a bunch of cupcake teams on our schedule that 23 is definitely doable.

Looking at each game on the schedule I feel like I could imagine scenarios where the team gets 16 wins or 25 wins so I’m gonna settle on 21

Some predicting less than 20 wins? Newfound respect for the league?

For UConn to fail to reach 20 wins with this year's OOC schedule would mean an under .500 performance in the league.

Next we'll hear people saying leaving is a mistake what with all the superior teams "P6" is now showcasing. Does USF have yet another great transfer from Gardner Webb? Is Tacko Fall back at UCF as a post graduate fellow? Is the Leprechaun back in Cincinnati? Is there something in the water in Tulsa?

23-8............but I'm always an optimist!

Can we make a new (unwritten) rule that if you don't make a prediction, you aren't allowed to give others a hard time for their prediction? Always kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

17-13, if I am missing a game from the early season tourney, maybe 18-13
1-1 in AACT
1-1 in NIT
19-15 overall or 20-15 overall
Outside shot of 21-23 wins. If they go something like 22-11 they'd be a fringe team that misses the tourney.
Next year is when Uconn really turns the corner, possible S16.

20 wins, with a killer recruiting class, and our sights set on a strong return to the Big East.

I’m not even going to do this. I’ve learned my lesson
This is my practice without ever having learned a lesson.

I see a thread like this and ask, "How can these guys know," as though they do.

Hmm. Not counting the league tournament

So that’s 22 plus some in the tournament. Dancing baby.

I want to say over 22 wins. This team has too much backcourt talent to finish outside the top 5 of the AAC.

My predictions for the season are also my hopes for the season. 20 wins. Above .500 in the AAC. A win or two in the AAC Tournament. An NIT bid with a win or two there, as well. Most importantly, no blowout losses where they are completely outclassed.

Too many questions. Can/will Gilbert actually make it through an entire season? Probably not. So who steps in to run the offense and more importantly hit consistent threes to keep the defense honest enough to open the lanes and feed Carlton who should be even better than last year? Brendan Adams? Gaffney(who is a 19 year old freshman)? Can Uconn own the boards or at least come out even by the end of the game? My guess is that the team will be better. Much better? That depends on how healthy they can stay. I do believe buying into Hurley's way is not going to be a problem. It's health and how fast the new guys can gell with the rest that will determine how far they climb. My guess 20 regular season wins because of the plethora of early season cupcakes, a bye for the first round of the AAC Tourney and a 8 to 12 seed in the Big Dance. Pride can turn a good team into an even better team. Hurley may be the guy that can stir up some pride in these guys. We'll see. 20 regular season wins predicted.

side note: How much of Hurley's off season health issues effect his court side enthusiasm? Will Christian Vital finally lose that chip on his shoulder now that Jalen Adams is gone and take a more positive, cooperative, leadership role with this years squad? Will he be a loner or a teacher?

We roll into the AAC undefeated and win it. Then we go into the NCAA's and win everything and get one for thumb. Call me a dreamer but it's preseason I want to optimistic. I love the Basketball program and we will be back this year.
